Boosting in Valorant Consoles: How to Climb the Rank in PS5 and Xbox

Riot Games' tactical first-person shooter, Valorant, has officially made its way to consoles, now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. This free-to-play title is accessible to players in the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, and Brazil, further expanding its player base across several regions.

When Valorant first launched, it featured 11 Agents and four maps, but over the past four years, it reached 24 Agents, with continuous updates arriving through Episodes and Acts. Upon creating a new account, players receive five unlocked Agents. Additional Agents can be unlocked by earning Kingdom Credits through gameplay or by purchasing them with Valorant Points, the game’s premium currency. For Xbox Series X and PC users, Game Pass subscribers get a huge boost via immediate access to all current Agents and new ones as they are introduced.

How to Play Valorant on Console

To jump into Valorant on a console, players need to meet a few basic requirements: they must reside in one of the supported regions (NA, EU, JP, or BR), have a Riot Account that's not banned or restricted, and own either an Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5. If all these conditions are met, the next step is simple—download Valorant from the console’s online marketplace and log in to begin playing.

Linking Your Xbox or PSN Account

As stated, a Riot Account is necessary to play Valorant on consoles. It's crucial to link the correct account, as all your unlocked content will transfer between PC and console versions. By ensuring you connect your primary Riot account, you can bring all your content across platforms without worrying about losing any progress. This can boost your early start in Valorant for the consoles, allowing you to jump right into a game with any Agent you had unlocked before.

One important thing to keep in mind is that while your content is shared between the two platforms, your Ranked progression is platform-exclusive. You'll have separate rankings for PC and console gameplay, which means you'll need to rank up individually on each.

Valorant PC vs. Console: Account Content

Any content you unlock or purchase will be accessible across both PC and console versions of Valorant. This includes your account level, currencies like Valorant Points, Kingdom Credits, and Radianite Points, as well as Agents you've recruited and weapon skins you've collected. Progression in features like the Battle Pass and mission tasks is also shared.

However, your ranking and MMR remain separate between the two platforms. Players on consoles won't compete against PC players, ensuring a balanced experience based on platform.

Valorant Crossplay

Crossplay is available between console platforms, meaning PlayStation and Xbox users can play together. However, crossplay with PC players is not supported. This decision keeps the competition fair, as different control methods can lead to an imbalance in gameplay.

Xbox Game Pass

Xbox players who have a Game Pass subscription enjoy some extra benefits when playing Valorant. Game Pass users have access to all available Agents and can also use new Agents as soon as they are released. Unfortunately, this boost is not available to PlayStation users at the moment.

Third-Party Controllers

Valorant does not officially support third-party controllers on consoles. If you choose to use one and encounter any issues, you’ll need to contact the manufacturer for assistance, as Riot will not offer support. Additionally, keyboard and mouse inputs are not permitted on consoles, and any attempts to bypass this limitation could result in a ban. Valorant on consoles is designed exclusively for controller play.
