10 Essential CS2 Cache Smoke Lineups to Dominate Ranked
Cache is finally back. If you’re anything like the rest of the Counter-Strike community, you’ve probably been itching to drop into this iconic map since it made its return in CS2. Right now, Valve has it queued up for Competitive and default modes, which means they are heavily testing the waters before throwing it into the Premier and professional map pools.
If you want to win, you can’t just rely on raw aim. You need to relearn the map's geometry and figure out how the new volumetric smokes interact with the environment. Let's be real though: climbing the competitive ladder takes a lot of time and patience. If you're tired of dropping 30-bombs only to lose because of uncoordinated randoms, investing in a professional CS2 boost is an incredibly smart solution. It’s the perfect way to bypass the grind, fix your hidden MMR, and finally play at the higher ranks where teammates actually communicate and trade kills.
But whether you are playing in the big leagues or just grinding with friends, knowing your utility is non-negotiable. Here are 10 incredibly easy, must-know smoke lineups for the new CS2 Cache to get you started.

5 Essential T-Side Smokes for Cache
Starting on the offensive side means you have to dictate the pace of the round. Grab a smoke grenade during buy time and use these setups to execute onto the sites safely.
1. T-Spawn to Mid (Z-Connector)
Taking Mid control is everything on Cache, and this lineup is so simple you’ll memorize it on the first try.
- Start in T-Spawn and tuck yourself into the far-right edge of the blue caravan.
- Turn left and look up at the large "OCTOPO" signboard.
- Place your crosshair directly on the second "O" in the sign.
- Take a step forward and jump-throw. This perfectly blocks off the CT sniper holding from Z.
2. The Fast B-Tree Smoke
Rushing B? You need to blind the CTs holding from Tree room. This one is done entirely on the fly.
- As you are running toward the B-Main entrance, look at the pillar on the right-side interior wall.
- Keep running, aim directly at the pillar, and just left-click throw. It bounces perfectly to block the Tree line of sight.
3. The Fast B-Heaven Smoke
Pair this with the Tree smoke above, and B site is virtually yours.
- While walking toward B-Main, look for the wall frame just beside and slightly above the pillar you used for the Tree smoke.
- Aim at the frame and left-click throw. This completely shuts down any AWPer trying to pick you off from Heaven.
4. Sunroom to B-Tree
If you want to play a slightly slower, more methodical B-take, use this Sunroom lineup.
- Jump up onto the ledge inside Sunroom.
- Wedge yourself into the corner right between the ledge and the broken electrical transformer.
- Look at the building ahead. Find the second window from the left and aim at its bottom-left corner.
- Move your crosshair slightly up so it rests just above the building's ledge, then left-click throw.
5. A-Long to A-Site (Double Smoke Setup)
This requires either juggling a second smoke or getting a teammate to drop one for you, but it’s entirely worth it because it covers almost the entire back of A-site.
- Walk into the A-Long entrance and tuck into the rightmost corner.
- Look up at the doorframe above you and align your crosshair with the top-left corner of it.
- Immediately look slightly higher and jump-throw the second smoke. You now have a giant wall of cover to plant the bomb safely.

Quick tip before we swap sides: Winning your T-side rounds is huge, but defense is where matches are truly decided. If you find yourself consistently losing games because your team collapses on the CT side, team up with a CS2 boosting pro instead of queueing alone! It’s a completely safe, stress-free method to secure those difficult wins, climb the leaderboards, and experience high-level tactical gameplay the way it was meant to be played.
5 Essential CT-Side Smokes for Cache
Now it’s time to lock down the map. Stopping a fast execution requires good utility placement to delay the attackers and wait for your team to rotate.
6. Quad (A-Site) to A-Main
If you are playing the anchor role on A, this is your bread-and-butter smoke to shut down A-Main rushes.
- Tuck yourself into the back corner of Quad on A-site.
- Turn to face the A-Main entrance.
- Look for the red signboard and aim your crosshair just a hair below the letter "O".
- Left-click throw to bloom a perfect smoke right in the chokepoint.
7. CT Spawn to A-Main
Need to support your A-players right out of spawn? Use this quick lineup.
- Stand on the ledge of the ruined building right in CT Spawn.
- Look over toward the A-site skyline and find where the two large buildings in front of you intersect.
- Aim slightly above that intersection point and jump-throw.
8. CT Spawn to Garage
Controlling Mid from early in the round prevents the Ts from splitting your defenses. No need to self-boost or do any crazy climbing stunts for this one.
- Left-click throw your first smoke.
- In CT Spawn, back up against the right-side metal door post.
- Look straight ahead at the building in the distance.
- Find the top row of windows, aim at the upper section of them, and jump-throw. This lands beautifully in Garage to deny early Mid vision.
9. CT Truck to Garage (Support Smoke)
If you are holding A-site from Truck and hear your Mid player calling for help, you can smoke Garage for them without ever exposing yourself.
- Stand in the corner right by the Truck (between CT-Spawn and A-Site).
- Look up at the crane in the sky.
- Using your grenade crosshair, line up the horizontal line with the spot where the roof fence connects to the edge of the building behind it.
- Jump-throw to bail out your Mid player.
10. Z-Connector to A-Main
This is the reverse of the previous smoke. If you are playing Mid/Z and the Ts decide to execute A, you can stall them from a completely safe distance.
- Wedge yourself into the small corner between the door and the Z-entryway.
- Face toward A-Main.
- Look at the building ahead, find the rightmost window on the top row, and aim at its top-left corner.
- Jump-throw. You’ve just bought your A-site anchors precious seconds to reposition.
Time to Hit the Servers
Reading about smokes is one thing; throwing them under pressure is another. Boot up a private practice server, turn on your infinite ammo and grenade trajectories, and spend a few minutes tossing these around. Once these CS2 Cache lineups become muscle memory, you’ll be an absolute nightmare for the enemy team to deal with. Good luck on the grind!
