If your favorite champion isn't included on day one, don't panic. Riot has already confirmed additional champions from the early years of League will arrive in future updates. However, the company has no plans to include every champion released over the game's lifetime.

The smaller roster is intentional, making it easier for returning players to jump in without needing to learn over 170 modern champions.

Classic Runes, Masteries, and IP Make Their Return

One of the most nostalgic features coming back is the old rune and mastery system.

The champion selection experience has also been modernized. Players now choose preferred roles before matchmaking, eliminating the old race to type "MID or feed" in champion select.

Classic Progression, Battle Pass, and Retro Skins

LoL Classic introduces its own progression system separate from your regular League account.
