Quads are Officially Coming to Apex Legends in Season 21: Split 2

The rumors are true! Apex Legends has officially launched a Quads mode with Season 21, Split 2, bringing a fresh boost to the battle royale genre. Replacing the Solos mode, this Limited Time Mode (LTM) will swap out the Duos playlist, marking the first time that more than three players can team up in the game. This exciting update is part of the Double Take Collection Event, promising new dynamics and challenges for players.

What is Quads Mode in Apex Legends?

Quads mode in Apex Legends introduces teams of four players, a departure from the traditional three-player squads. This mode, running from June 25 until August 6, will maintain the standard 60 players per lobby, but with 15 teams instead of the usual 20. The developers have made several adjustments to accommodate the larger teams, ensuring an enhanced and balanced gameplay experience.

Better Loot and Gameplay Adjustments

To make Quads mode more engaging, developers have boosted the loot system. Players can expect improved loot drops, including increased ammo, attachments, and deployable items. Blue and Purple fully kitted weapons will also be more common, providing players with better gear to tackle the expanded teams.

Additionally, certain abilities have been tweaked to fit the Quads mode. For instance, Valkyrie's Ultimate can now attach three players, and Mirage's Dropship decoys will show four players. These changes ensure that the new mode feels seamless and integrated into the existing gameplay mechanics.
