Recent Valorant rumors indicate that TenZ will be replaced on the Sentinels roster.
Valorant star player TenZ and the entire roster of the Sentinels have both been out of shape for a while, and fans are beginning to wonder when they will boost their squad with new blood. Today, we have some fresh information for you about the future of TenZ and his upcoming replacement.
The Sentinels are a fan favorite team in Valorant, despite not being at their best lately. However, lately, fans have noticed that they might need to shape up and improve their results.
TenZ is without a doubt Valorant's "Faker". He is well-known outside of Valorant, and his character and performances drive the crowd to levels of thrill that no other player can. Sentinels became the American powerhouse team after winning the Masters 2021 in Reykjavik with the star player at the helm.
With the exception of TenZ, a lot has changed since then, and the 2021 Sentinels are quite different from the 2023 squad. They have changed their squad several times between Reykjavik and now, adding broadcasters and content creators like ShahZam and even the CS:GO veteran Shroud.
Who will replace TenZ in the Sentinels?
No single player can be blamed for the Sentinels' current performance because everyone who watched their games could see that it's more of a team problem than a player problem.
Despite agent and role changes, TenZ has played outstanding matches, even boosting his teammates through scenarios where a match was already considered lost or carrying the most recent match against 100 Thieves, but has also played fairly average ones. The current duelist for Sentinels is Zekken, and TenZ has been required to train using characters from outside his agent pool like KAY/O.
There has been some recent tension between Aspas and LOUD in the more southern hemisphere, and there are speculations that he may be abandoning the champions of 2022's biggest Valorant competition.
This, together with the speculations that TenZ was departing SEN, led to a lot of idle chatter as well as verifiable rumors that Aspas would be the player to take TenZ's spot in the Sentinels.
According to "Slasher" in a recent interview, the conflict between Aspas and LOUD is over Aspas' request for a higher payment and the renewal of his contract. According to reports, LOUD did not accept the request, and their main point of contention stems from that.
The stakes are high for sentinels. Success and public celebrations are in order when you have a sizable following and a lot of buzz. Without a doubt, Aspas is a superstar in Valorant, and it's likely that the Sentinels aren't the only team interested in signing him.
There were speculations that another Valorant team, NRG, showed a lot of interest in Aspas months ago as a possible roster boost. Slasher refuted them in the interview and asserts that the Sentinels are the team actively seeking Aspas with a significant contract that may be greater than what LOUD had to offer.
TenZ is still a member of the Sentinels, and his departure has not been formally announced. Aspas and TenZ share a similar role and playstyle; hence, Slasher thinks TenZ will be the one to be replaced if the Aspas rumors are true and he signs with the Sentinels.
If the rumors are true, the Sentinels might be getting a new legend, but no one has a clue about TenZ's fate if he gets replaced.
