The Valorant Masters Shanghai playoffs have been set, with the top eight teams determined through the Swiss Stage. This phase of the tournament will feature a double-elimination bracket, where regional champions from the VCT leagues and top Swiss Stage performers will compete for Championship Points boost and a $350,000 first-place prize. VCT Masters Shanghai has been a thrilling tournament, surpassing all expectations as the first of its kind in China. The fourth day of the Swiss rounds just wrapped up, and every decider match was incredibly close, going to a third map. Now, we're down to the top 8 teams who will move on in the competition.

The tournament kicked off on May 23 with the Swiss stage, where the top four out of eight teams advanced to the playoffs. The Valorant Esports team held a fixture draw to determine the matchups after all the matches concluded. In this draw, the top seeds from the VCT Stage One events picked their opponents. Paper Rex got the first pick, followed by 100 Thieves and EDward Gaming. Unfortunately, FNATIC, being the last team chosen, had no say in their opponent and will have to face the dark horse of the competition.

Qualified Teams

The eight teams qualified for the Valorant Masters Shanghai playoffs are the VCT Pacific League Split 1 Champion, the VCT China League Split 1 Champion, the VCT Americas League Split 1 Champion, the VCT EMEA League Split 1 Champion, the two Masters Shanghai Swiss Stage Upper Bracket Winner, and the two Masters Shanghai Swiss Stage Elimination Match Winner. Respectively, these teams are Paper Rex, Edward Gaming, 100 Thieves, Fnatic, Gen.G Esports, G2 Esports, Team Heretics, and FUT Esports.

Playoff Draw and Matchups

Each regional Valorant champion now has the strategic advantage of selecting their first-round opponent from the remaining Swiss Stage qualifiers. The matchups are as follows:
