One of the standout moments of the series was Zheng "ZmjjKK" Yongkang’s incredible performance. He made history by becoming the first player in Valorant’s competitive scene to rack up 111 kills in a BO5 series. His stellar gameplay was instrumental in boosting EDward Gaming to victory. Adding to the fairytale ending, S1Mon, who joined EDward Gaming just a month before the tournament, found himself lifting the Valorant Champions trophy early in his career. This victory is a huge milestone for the Chinese esports industry, boosting their reputation and proving that they are a force to be reckoned with in the global Valorant community.

With EDward Gaming's victory, the Pacific region remains the only one yet to claim a Valorant Champions title, as EMEA, Americas, and China have now all taken home the trophy, despite China adding a salary cap for Valorant pro-players.
