Disguised Gaming Signs Valorant Partnership with BLEED Esports
Bleed Esports has just revealed they have signed a strategic partnership deal with Disguised Toast to establish and support a Valorant team competing in the SEA: Malaysia and Singapore region. Disguised Toast, the popular Twitch streamer, initially tried his luck in the esports scene in 2023 with a creator-owned brand, making waves with teams in Game Changers and the North American Challengers League.
The latest announcement marks Disguised Toast's official shift from the North American Valorant esports arena to the Southeast Asian region. The partnership involves Bleed Esports boosting the ranks of the Disguised gaming organization as well as an experienced team providing comprehensive support to the Disguised brand in the region, with the latter adding to the collaboration of both organizations through joint watch parties, streams, and events.
Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang has been clear in the past about the challenges he faced while managing an esports organization, acknowledging the financial setbacks the project found on its path since its original debut in Game Changers. With plans to take a hiatus from the Game Changers scene in 2024, Disguised Toast actively looked at this collaboration to create a path towards the main circuit of Valorant Esports.
Interestingly, there's a pre-existing connection between Bleed and Disguised Toast, as the former DSG player Jacob ‘yay’ Whiteaker has transitioned to the Bleed roster in the VCT Pacific League.
The announcement also introduced the complete roster of players representing DSG in the VCT Malaysia and Singapore Challengers League. This squad aims to navigate the league, progress to the Pacific region’s Ascension tournament, and ultimately qualify for the VCT league in 2025 and 2026.
Disguised Toast, sharing his vision for DSG, expressed a desire to build it into a global brand and expand its reach into the Asia region, always while trying to boost its presence in the western gaming world as well. Highlighting his personal connection, he revealed that he lived in Malaysia from age 1 to 13, making the return to the region particularly meaningful for the Twitch superstar.
As part of this collaboration, a content partnership is also in the works between Bleed Esports and Disguised Toast's organization. This business agreement aligns with the evolving landscape of esports partnerships, focusing on content creation and commercial collaborations. It's noteworthy that this partnership falls under Riot Games' new Affiliate Team Partnerships program, introduced in 2024. This initiative enables affiliate organizations to engage in content and commercial ventures and facilitates the designation of two-way players. Players on the DSG roster can be tagged as two-way players, allowing them to be called up to play for the Bleed roster in VCT Pacific.
The freshly signed DSG+BLEED Esports roster for Valorant features Azrie ‘Riza’ Adly, Tyler ‘juicy’ Aeria, Wong ‘JayH’ Heng, Bryce ‘bryce’ Lee, 'Wayne', and Alexander ‘alexRr’ Frisch. Stay tuned for more updates and news about Valorant Esports!
