The Ultimate Pro Guide to New Valorant Agent: Clove

In the recent Valorant update 8.05, players were introduced to a brand-new Controller agent named Clove. What makes Clove stand out is their unique ability to manipulate immortality essence, allowing them to cheat death and continue supporting their team even in dire situations.

Their toolkit revolves around summoning disruptive smokes that linger even after they're down, creating an aggressive and somewhat selfish playstyle that's earned them the nickname "Reyna of Controllers" in Valorant lobbies.

To really excel with Clove, you need to understand their abilities inside and out. Unlike other, more passive Controllers, in Valorant, like Brimstone and Omen, Clove thrives on being in the thick of the action. Their abilities are designed for fast-paced combat and require a proactive approach to get the most out of them.

One of Clove's key abilities is "Pick-Me-Up." It's reminiscent of Reyna's healing ability and gives Clove a temporary health boost when they eliminate an opponent or assist in doing so. This makes Clove a bit like a self-sufficient healer, allowing them to stay in the fight longer and take more risks.

Then there's "Ruse," Clove's signature move. It lets them deploy smoke even after they've been taken out, which can be a game-changer in certain situations. It's all about messing with the enemy's plans and keeping them on their toes.

When it comes to strategy, Clove players need to be smart about when and how they use their abilities. Whenever possible, activate "Pick-Me-Up" to boost Clove's influence on the battlefield. "Ruse" can be used aggressively to block enemy lines of sight or defensively to create cover for your team while boosting your advantage.

Don't forget about "Meddle," Clove's other basic ability. It's a bit hard to capitalize on, but it can really disrupt the enemy by weakening them with health decay, kind of like poison, but in Valorant style. Think of it as a way to throw a wrench into their plans and force them to engage at a disadvantage.

Clove's ultimate ability, "Not Dead Yet," is a real game-changer. It lets them come back to life after being eliminated, which can catch opponents off guard and turn the tide of a match. Additionally, you can cancel it to deceive the opponent into believing you're permanently out, incorporating yet another mind game maneuver into Clove's arsenal.

When it comes to weapons, Clove pairs well with the Guardian and the Outlaw, Valorant’s newest sniper rifle.

The Guardian's superior penetration and headshot accuracy make it a great choice for Clove, especially when defending or retaking sites. And the Outlaw's two-shot capacity and precision make it perfect for controlling mid-map areas, where Clove can disrupt enemy positions and create openings for sniping opportunities.

Valorant Clove

Overall, mastering Clove requires a mix of aggression, strategy, and mind games. By understanding their abilities and how to use them effectively, you can dominate the Valorant battlefield and lead your team to victory.
