Valorant's New Agent 25 Clove Will Release in Episode 8 Act 2

Exciting news for Valorant fans as Riot Games gears up to introduce its latest agent, Clove, marking the franchise's first controller-duelist hybrid.

Riot Games has finally revealed the release date for Clove, who will make their debut in Valorant Episode 8 Act 2.

Riot is now promising that Clove will redefine the role of controllers in Valorant, bringing a unique blend of abilities to the game that could potentially revolutionize competitive gameplay, following her announcement as a game-changer. With a skill set drawing inspiration from fan-favorite agents like Astra, Sage, Viper, and Reyna, Clove's arrival has sparked tons of excitement within the Valorant community.

Valorant Agent 25 Clove

As Valorant's first ever non-binary agent, Clove represents a significant step towards inclusivity and diversity within the game. Their kit boasts a fusion of abilities, incorporating elements such as a resurrection ability reminiscent of Sage, a lifesteal boost mechanic like the one found in Reyna’s kit, and a decay grenade inspired by Viper's Snake Bites. Additionally, Clove's arsenal includes Astra-style smokes, adding further depth to their strategic utility on the battlefield.

What will Clove's abilities do in Valorant?

Clove Abilities
  • E – Ruse: Clove can use this ability to survey the battlefield, allowing them to designate locations where clouds will settle. Upon confirmation, Clove launches clouds that obstruct vision in the chosen areas, serving as effective tools for controlling entry and exit routes.
  • Q – Meddle: With this ability, Clove harnesses a fragment of immortality essence, hurling it towards enemies. Upon detonation, the fragment unleashes a temporary decay effect on all targets caught within its radius, disrupting enemy movements and creating strategic opportunities for Clove and their team.
  • C – Pick-me-up: Upon eliminating an enemy or inflicting enough damage, Clove can instantly absorb their life force, gaining a burst of haste and a temporary health boost. This ability not only increases Clove's survivability but also incentivizes aggressive playstyles, which were rare before they joined the Valorant roster.
  • X (Ult) – Not Dead Yet: Clove's ultimate ability grants them the power of resurrection. After dying, Clove can use this ability to resurrect and rejoin the battle. However, to maintain their revived state, Clove must secure a kill or damaging assist within a specified timeframe, adding an element of risk and reward to their gameplay. If you’ve played League of Legends before, you’ll recognize this skill from Renata Glasc’s kit.

When is Clove's Release Date in Valorant?

Riot Games has finally revealed the release date for Clove, set for March 26, 2024, allowing players to firsthand experience the agent's groundbreaking abilities.

How to Unlock Clove in Valorant

In Valorant, unlocking new agents typically involves participating in the 28-day event associated with their release. Alternatively, players can acquire previous agents through the in-game store using either 1,000 Valorant Points or 8,000 Kingdom Points. By navigating to the 'Agents' tab in Valorant's store, players can activate the contract for their desired agent and progress towards unlocking them.

Whether players choose to earn Clove through gameplay progression or choose to unlock them using Valorant Points or Kingdom Points, the arrival of this dynamic agent is sure to leave a lasting impact on the Valorant meta and competitive landscape.
