• The Shyvana Rework: Though she appeared in the trailer, the Half-Dragon’s massive VGU (Visual and Gameplay Update) isn't live quite yet. Fans will need to wait until Patch 26.6 to see her new kit in action.

Shyvana is Getting a Full Rework

The long-awaited Shyvana VGU is much more than a simple visual polish; it’s a complete mechanical evolution designed to make her feel like a modern juggernaut.

Her new passive, Scalemail, now allows her to stack permanent armor and magic resistance by securing takedowns on champions, large minions, and monsters; moving away from her old, rigid reliance on slaying drakes. Her kit highlights include Emberstrike (Q), which features a satisfying double-recast mechanic, and Inferno Aegis (W), a defensive shield that explodes for a health boost when she’s in her dragon form. Most notably, her ultimate, Dragon's Descent, now includes a "Flee" crowd-control effect, fearing enemies caught in her path as she transforms.

This overhaul finally gives her the utility and sticking power she’s lacked for years, firmly cementing her place as a high-impact frontline fighter.

Patch 26.6 Preview: Balance and Systems

While Act 2 is live now, the upcoming Patch 26.6 (scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, 2026) is where the gameplay shift really happens. Riot also shared promising data regarding the "autofill versus autofill" matchmaking rollout. Results in EUW and Vietnam show a massive spike in match fairness. Furthermore, the Apex LP fix has stabilized; 98% of high-elo players are now seeing consistent gains of +19 to +21 LP, ending the era of "climb-killing" +12 LP gains.

The Road to São Paulo

Don't forget that the First Stand Tournament kicks off in São Paulo, Brazil, from March 16–22, 2026. This will be the first international look at how different regions handle the new 2026 meta, featuring a $1,000,000 prize pool and the debut of the "Fearless Draft" format on the global stage.

With the Shyvana rework and the First Stand tournament right around the corner, late March is shaping up to be one of the busiest periods in League history.
