Valorant Episode 8 Releasing a New Sniper Rifle: Outlaw
Welcome Valorant fans! Hold onto your helmets because Riot Games is dropping a brand new sniper rifle for Valorant! Prepare for the arrival of Valorant's first-ever new weapon, the Outlaw.
Valorant has been around for a few years now, and it’s known for shaking things up with new maps, agents, and content every couple of weeks. Riot Games is also constantly boosting the game’s performance with technical and balance tweaks, but so far, the collection of weapons has remained untouched in terms of new weapons. Enter the Outlaw, a sniper rifle that was accidentally leaked during a skin showcase leak back in October. After months of silence, it seems the Outlaw is ready, and Riot has finally confirmed its official release date.
According to the Valorant online community, especially the legendary data miner ValorLeaks, the Outlaw sniper is making its debut right at the launch of Episode 8. Now, the real question is... |
When does Valorant Episode 8 start?
In 2024, Riot Games is aligning the season starts of their various titles, Valorant, League of Legends, and even TFT, with January 10 marking the beginning of Episode 8 and potentially releasing the Outlaw onto the live servers just in time to shake up the new meta.
As the first ever new weapon to boost the Valorant collection, the Outlaw brings to the table a lot of changes to Valorant’s dynamic, both to casual gameplay and the competitive scene. The big impact comes from the Outlaw being a sniper rifle, meaning it will pack a punch, but it will be affordable, positioned between the Marshal and the Operator. It's like Thanos himself designed it for those who want their sniping gameplay to be perfectly balanced.
As for the Outlaw’s performance, data miners have been busy uncovering its secrets. Described as a "muscular Marshal," the mid-priced sniper rifle is packing some serious punch. With the ability to take down half-armored Agents with a single bullet, firing two bullets per click, and dealing 140 damage to the body. If that’s not power, we don’t know what is. Oh, and did we mention it’ll be released with a couple of skins right away? |
The Outlaw seems set to bridge the price gap between the Marshal and the Operator, with an expected price tag of 2,400 Credits, filling a gap for rifles in terms of price and allowing players to adjust by getting an intermediate weapon instead of having to commit 100% to sniping. So, get ready to embrace the Outlaw into your arsenal. It's not just a new gun; it's a game-changer that's about to spice up our battles.
January 10 can't come soon enough; let the Outlaw era begin.
