The 2022–2023 Valorant competitive season is coming to an end, and Riot Games wants to go all out with this year's Valorant Champions tournament.
Players from amateur backgrounds, professional gamers, content creators, elo boosting specialists, and Riot Games' fans in general are all gathering to root for their favorite team!
Riot Games is finally bringing the largest Valorant tournament to North America (more specifically, Los Angeles), recognizing the region for the love it has shown for the game since its release. Previously, the tournament was set in Germany and then Turkey, both events were huge successes, so we expect this one to be even bigger and better!
From August 6 through August 26, two renowned Los Angeles locations, the Kia Forum and the Shrine Auditorium, will host Valorant Champions 2023. The sixteen best of the best teams from EMEA, Asia-Pacific, the Americas, and China will be competing for the trophy that only two teams have held before: Acend back in 2021 and LOUD in 2022.
Which teams will be in Valorant Champions 2023?
The three international leagues will send at least four teams each, with China sending a delegation of three teams to Los Angeles. EMEA, having won the VCT Masters Tokyo, gets to boost a fifth team into the competition.
In the Americas and Pacific regions, the first, second, and third places in the league's standings automatically qualified for Valorant Champions, with the Americas league sending us LOUD, NRG, and Evil Geniuses and the Pacific league entering with DRX, Paper Rex, and T1.
The outcomes of VCT Masters Tokyo, meanwhile, determined the three EMEA positions. Fnatic, Team Liquid, and FUT were the top-placed teams from the region as they outshined their competitors in the tournament.
There will be a last-chance qualifier (LCQ) to determine the last four teams from the Americas, EMEA, and the Pacific League, but so far, the squads that will be attending Valorant Champions 2023 are:

Tickets for the games held at the Shrine Auditorium are priced between $40 and $50 during the week and between $50 and $60 on the weekends. At the Kia Forum, tickets for the pivotal stages range in price from $40 to $240.
The event will be broadcast live on Valorant Esports and Twitch.
Riot Games has not yet released the Valorant Champions 2023 format. Valorant Champions 2023 is most likely to stick to the conventional format used in the majority of international Valorant competitions.
The competition should begin with a group stage in which the 16 participating teams will be split into four groups. The top two squads from each group will then proceed to the playoff round.
All games in the playoff bracket are likely to be played in a double-elimination format with best-of-three series. The grand final and lower bracket final, however, will switch to a best-of-five format.
