New Leaks Reveal Valorant's Agent 25 Release Date and Theme
Heads up, Agents! Valorant leakers have blessed us with a New Year’s gift in the form of a sneak peek into the mysterious Agent 25. Let's take a look into the top-secret information from the latest Valorant leaks and piece together what we know so far about the next boost to our favorite tactical shooter’s roster.
On December 25, the trusted leaker ValorLeaks treated us to a Christmas gift—a possible first look at Agent 25. The shared screenshot, seen here, though a bit hazy and puzzling, has made it to the VALORANT community’s social networks and even to r/Valorant. Many players are connecting the visuals to flying insects against a pastel, whimsical backdrop, with a prominent image resembling a butterfly emerging from a cocoon.
ValorLeaks has revealed that this leaked image will feature as a player card in Episode 8 Act 1's battle pass. If history repeats itself, Riot has teased upcoming agents through battle pass items before. In Episode 7, Act 2, the Bulletproof player card was a teaser for Iso, who was later released in the following act. Following this pattern, Agent 25 is expected to be released in Episode 8, Act 2.
While the details about Agent 25 are shrouded in mystery, ValorLeaks dropped a potential codename: Smokedancer. If the rumors hold true, Smokedancer is set to be a Controller agent, a role that manipulates the map dynamics similar to Viper and Omen through the use of smokes.
Considering that a new Controller agent hasn’t been released for quite some time, Smokedancer might bring about a shift in the current smokes meta. The name itself hints at abilities that could get a boost from moving within smoke, changing the dynamics of how they’re used.

However, the VALORANT community is already hard at work speculating and looking for more hints. Players are guessing how this agent will interact with smokes, potentially involving teleportation between them or leveraging them strategically.
