Riot Games is officially gearing up for the next massive content drop. On April 29, Valorant Season 2026 // Act 3 will hit live servers across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles.

Whether you play for the cosmetic flex or the intense competitive grind, this upcoming patch is bringing something for everyone. From an absolute overhaul of the Skirmish mode to the highly anticipated return of a fan-favorite skin line, here is everything you need to know about the new update.

Enter the Arena: Skirmish Ascension

If you’ve been begging for a highly competitive, stripped-down game mode, Riot has finally answered. Act 3 introduces Skirmish: Ascension, a brand-new evolution of the traditional Skirmish mode.

Powered by the For The Win (FTW) platform, Ascension features a dedicated competitive ladder with separate queues for 1v1 and 2v2 matchups. But there’s a massive twist: you won’t have access to your Agent's full utility belt. Instead, the mode features a carefully curated Agent pool where each character is equipped with just one specific ability. Combine that with staged weapons, and you’ve got a mode designed specifically to test your raw aim, game sense, and split-second decision-making.

Because Ascension features its own distinct leaderboards, the competition is going to be incredibly fierce from day one. Let’s be real, grinding a new ladder from scratch can be exhausting, especially if you get hit with a string of bad luck or tough early placements. If you want to start out big in Act 3 and rank up in Valorant, a ranked boost is an excellent way to skip the early-season chaos. By letting top-tier players help elevate your account, you can quickly bypass the frustrating lower brackets and jump straight into the high-quality, perfectly balanced matches where the game truly shines.

Kuronami Returns: The Next Evolution

If you were around in January 2024, you probably remember the absolute chokehold the Kuronami Collection had on the community. For Act 3, Riot is bringing back that gorgeous, weather-manipulating aesthetic with a direct continuation of the line.

The new Kuronami bundle expands on the original’s core vibe while offering fresh options for your loadout. The 2.0 collection will feature skins for the:

  • Phantom
  • Operator
  • Ghost
  • Guardian

The crown jewel of the bundle, however, is an all-new transforming Kunai melee. If it feels anything like the original dual-wielded chain blades, it’s going to be an instant must-buy.

When Does Valorant Act 3 Start?

Mark your calendars! Valorant 2026 Act 3 starts April 29! Remember, if you play on Xbox or PC and have an active Xbox Game Pass subscription, make sure your Riot Games ID is linked to your Microsoft account to keep claiming those sweet, free progression bonuses.

Beyond the shiny new cosmetics and the 1v1 arenas, a new Act means it's time to hit the standard ranked grind once again.

We all know the struggle of solo queuing at the start of a new season. You inevitably run into uncooperative teammates, toxic comms, or players who just want to throw your placement matches. There are a lot of pro-players out there ready to queue up and help you start the Act, so if you need a duo partner, a Valorant boosting service is the go-to solution. Instead of letting bad teammates ruin your evening, bringing in a highly skilled player to secure your deserved rank is a smart, stress-free investment. It guarantees you end up in the Elo you belong in, surrounded by teammates who actually want to communicate, execute strats, and win.
