The Main Event Format

The TFT Vegas Open adopts an open-bracket format, unleashing 512 players into the fray over three action-packed days. The event format breakdown is as follows:

Seeding

Players start with initial seeding based on an average of their Set 9 and 9.5 rankings. After Round 1, a snake draft determines the seeding based on points earned throughout the tournament.

Point System

Points are awarded for each game: 8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 (first place to eighth place).

Event Schedule

Day 1 - December 8

  • Round 1: 512 players, 8-player lobbies, 3 games each. The top four advance.
  • Round 2: 256 players, 8-player lobbies, 3 games each. The top four advance.

Day 2 - December 9

  • Round 3: 128 players, 8-player lobbies, 4 games each. The top two advance.
  • Round 4: 32 players, 8-player lobbies, 4 games each. The top two advance to the Finals.

Day 3 - December 10

  • Finals: Top 8 players in a checkmate format. The first to earn 20 points and secure 1st place becomes the TFT Vegas Open Champion.
