The Vegas Open, a three-day, $300k USD Teamfight Tactics international LAN tournament, is almost here, and Riot Games has already made a lot of announcements about the tournament. Here is all the information you need, from the start time to a description of the structure:

This year, Teamfight Tactics will have its first-ever worldwide LAN event. This tournament should boost the already rising popularity of Team Fight Tactics. Riot has now provided further details on the high-stakes competition, such as the prize fund, venue, dates, and entry fees.

The TFT Vegas Open will make history as Teamfight Tactics' first ever international LAN. The three-day celebration of all things TFT will include a competitive tournament with a cash prize of $100,000 USD, a trophy, and a championship title for the victor.

The TFT Vegas Open begins

Beginning on December 8 and lasting through December 10, the TFT Open will be held in Las Vegas. Players from across the world will participate in the competition at MGM Grand for the chance to win incredible prizes.

At the TFT Vegas Open, there will be a total of three events, including the main tournament, the second chance tournament, and several side events.

Over the course of the event's three days, 512 contestants will battle it out for honor and rewards in the main competition.

For those who lose in the main event, there will be a second chance competition. For the 128 participants in this tournament, first come, first served rules apply. Although there is no prize fund for this competition, the winner will still get a trophy.

Throughout the TFT Vegas Open, there will be a variety of spectator-friendly side events that are solely for entertainment and boosting the morale of players who failed to reach the second phase of the event. In these competitions, everyone may win rewards.

Players will be seeded according to how they performed on average in Sets 9 and 9.5. Using a snake draft, competitors will be ranked after the first round according to the points they accumulate during the competition.

Anyone interested must have a valid Riot Games account in order to register and buy a pass before the registration deadline of August 30, 12:01 a.m. PT. Both the participation and attendance passes will be charged, boosting the revenue Riot receives from TFT live events to a level we've never seen before.

There are additional spectator passes available for $150 USD that allow the player to attend Side Events as well as admission for all three days. Additionally, these credentials will provide access to onsite events, including meet-and-greets, seminars, and more.

To enable Challenger, GM, and Master players to purchase their competition passes ahead of time, Riot will begin pre-sales for these players first.

Competitor passes cost $399 USD, although players with rankings of Masters or above will receive discounts. The fee will be $299 USD for Master and GrandMaster players and $199 USD for Challengers.

Riot is already building a website where you can enter and find all the information about the tournament. Stay tuned to be the first to check it out!
