Paper Rex Are VALORANT Radiant International Invitational Champions

If there is one thing Valorant fans have learned over the years, it’s that you can never truly count out the chaos of Paper Rex. The Southeast Asian giants have once again ascended the throne, securing a dominant 3-1 victory over Gen.G to claim the VALORANT Radiant International Invitational 2025 trophy.

This trophy is a lot more meaningful for Paper Rex in 2025, and it’s a heck of a statement. By defending their 2024 title, Paper Rex has cemented their status as a perennial powerhouse, proving that even with roster shifts and a shaky start, their aggressive "W-Gaming" philosophy remains the gold standard of entertainment and efficiency in tactical shooters.

A New Era: The Age of 'Invy'

Coming into the tournament, all eyes were on the newest addition to the roster: Adrian ‘invy’ Jiggs Reyes. Replacing the long-standing Patrick ‘PatMen’ Mendoza was never going to be an easy task. PatMen will always be a legend and an inspiration, and throughout the years, players joined competitive Esports inspired by him, including several pro-gaming athletes and Valorant boosting providers on our platform. Fans were understandably anxious, would the Filipino star mesh with the eccentric, high-octane style that PRX is known for?

PRX Win Valorant RII

The early group stages did little to calm those nerves. While PRX opened with a respectable 13-5 win over Nova Esports, they quickly hit a wall. Back-to-back losses to FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) and their eventual finals rivals, Gen.G, left the team teetering on the edge of elimination. They managed to squeak into the playoffs after a hard-fought battle against Bilibili Gaming, but at that point, few were picking them as the favorites to win it all.

Flipping the Switch in the Playoffs

The playoffs, however, told a completely different story. It was as if a lightbulb went off for the roster. The legendary duo of Wang ‘Jinggg’ Jing Jie and Ilya ‘something’ Petrov finally found their rhythm, transforming PRX from a struggling squad into a buzzsaw.

Their series against G2 served as the ultimate wake-up call. After two incredibly tight maps, PRX delivered a soul-crushing 13-2 performance on Haven to close the series. From that moment on, the "Revenge Tour" was officially in session. They moved on to dismantle FPX in a clean sweep, with Jason ‘f0rsakeN’ Susanto joining Jinggg in a display of mechanical brilliance that reminded the world why this core is so feared.

While invy wasn't always the top frag, his utility and stability were vital. Recording a solid 18/14/10 KDA during the playoff run, he proved he could hold his own under the immense pressure of the PRX banner.

The Grand Final: A Masterclass in Resilience

The Bo5 Grand Final against Gen.G was billed as the ultimate regional grudge match. Initially, it looked like Gen.G might run away with it. They absolutely bullied PRX on Abyss, taking the first map 13-5. For a moment, it felt like the group stage ghosts had returned to haunt Paper Rex.

But PRX doesn't do "quietly." They roared back on Split, returning the 13-5 favor with interest. The momentum shift was palpable. By the time the teams loaded into Haven, Paper Rex was playing with a level of confidence that bordered on disrespect. They opened the map with a staggering 9-0 lead on the attacking side. Gen.G, usually known for their composure, looked completely lost as PRX closed out the map 13-3.

The final map, Bind, was the closest of the lot. A 7-5 half kept Gen.G’s hopes alive, but once the rifles were in the hands of the PRX stars, the result felt inevitable. They stormed to a 13-9 victory, ending the series 3-1 and hoisting the VRII 2025 trophy.

Valorant PRX D4v41

The MVP: d4v41

While the flashier plays often go to Jinggg or something, the tournament MVP award rightfully went to Khalish ‘d4v41’ Rusyaidee. In a poetic repeat of his 2024 performance, d4v41 was the anchor that allowed the rest of the team to fly.

Across the four maps of the Grand Final, d4v41 put up a staggering 65 kills. His consistency is the secret sauce of Paper Rex; when the "W-Gaming" chaos gets too high, d4v41 is there to provide the finishing touch that wins championships.

Looking Ahead

Winning the Radiant International Invitational 2025 is a massive boost for Paper Rex as they head into the heart of the 2025 VCT season. They’ve integrated a new player, overcome a mid-tournament slump, and asserted dominance over their fiercest rivals.

If this tournament proved anything, it’s that Paper Rex isn't just a team of aim-gods, they are a team with a championship heart. As the season progresses, one thing is certain: you won't want to blink when PRX is on the server.
