NetEase Games continues to expand the world of Marvel Rivals with its latest update, introducing a highly anticipated setting from the Marvel universe. The spotlight shines on Alchemax Headquarters, a new map that serves as both a fresh battlefield and the backdrop for a daring rescue mission. Scott Summers, better known as Cyclops, has been captured, and his optic blasts are currently contained within a high-tech prison. It falls upon Moon Girl, Devil Dinosaur, and their team to step up and retrieve him.

Inside the Alchemax Headquarters Map

Situated in the futuristic landscape of Nueva York 2099, the Alchemax Headquarters map invites players into the classified research facilities of the notorious mega-corporation. The lore behind the map is compelling: Devil Dinosaur has breached the facility carrying a portable Timestream Reintegration Device to expose whatever secrets Alchemax has been hiding.

Unlike standard maps, Alchemax Headquarters is designed exclusively for Doom Match, the game's free-for-all elimination mode. Because of this, the layout emphasizes tactical elements like sightlines, flanking routes, and vertical geometry. The sleek, corporate 2099 aesthetic offers plenty of interior corridors and clean surfaces, providing a unique tactical playground where players must constantly watch their surroundings.

Key Updates in the May 28 Patch

The May 28 patch went live at 09:00 UTC without requiring any server downtime, allowing players to jump straight into the action. Beyond the new map, the update introduces several quality-of-life adjustments and game balances.

A major highlight of the patch is the updated anti-cheat system. Under the new rules, players who lose ranked points due to a confirmed cheater in their lobby will have those points refunded. This system makes the competitive ladder much fairer for players aiming to climb honestly, reducing the frustration often associated with unfair matches and making it a lot more fun to play Duo in a Marvel Rivals boos. Additionally, the patch delivers a balance sweep across six heroes in the Blood Hunt roster and resolves a bug that previously rendered Deadpool's dash ineffective in crowded areas.

Chrono-Rush Event and Double XP

The popular Chrono-Rush event makes its return with this update. Instead of running continuously, the event is structured across four distinct weekend windows. Participating in matches during these active windows allows players to earn Chrono Tokens, which have no accumulation limit.

To make the grind even more rewarding, the Weekend Surge Double XP event runs on the exact same schedule. This alignment makes it the ideal time for players to level up heroes they have not yet mastered. The event happening during the weekend window offers a huge boost to hero experience and token collection, making it the perfect opportunity to climb the ranks quickly.

New Cosmetics and Store Additions

Players interested in customization have plenty of new options to explore. Starting May 29, the Black Cat Wild Card Bundle became available as a limited-time flagship offering, remaining in the store until June 26. Wolverine fans can also acquire the X-2099 Bundle, which currently has no set expiration date. Black Cat receives additional customization items, including the Purple Prowl and Pink Purr chromas, alongside new style parts and an emoji bundle.

Meanwhile, the Savage Adventure event remains active until June 25, giving players continued opportunities to earn costumes like Ultron's Cybernetic Drip, Hela's Savage Monarch, and Luna Snow's Sonic Trailblazer through event-specific missions.
