Worlds 2023 Swiss Stage – Day 3: The Champions Take Everything!

Day 3 of the League of Legends Worlds 2023 Swiss Stage was a showcase of champions! The top seeds from both the LCK and the LPL lit up the stage, asserting their dominance with a bang.

Beijing JDG Intel Esports Club vs. Suzhou LNG Esports

Game 1

The opening game of the series was an absolute whirlwind of action. From the very outset, both teams clashed with rage, engaging in relentless skirmishes over critical objectives like turrets and dragon buffs. The early game was a spectacle of back-and-forth battles, keeping fans at the edge of their seats. Ultimately, it was JDG who emerged as the victors, securing the first Baron buff and wielding it with ruthless efficiency. With this power boost, they systematically dismantled LNG, leaving no room for their opponents to retaliate.

Game 2

LNG seemed to have learned their lesson from the previous game and entered the second match with a newfound determination. Right from the start, they dictated the pace of the game, maintaining a steady and calculated advantage. LNG's controlled gameplay and unyielding commitment to their strategy never allowed JDG any room to regain their footing. Even though JDG managed to steal the fourth Drake, denying LNG the Dragon Soul, it was LNG who ultimately claimed the fight, seized the Baron buff, and methodically pushed their way to a resounding victory.

Game 3

As the third game unfolded, it was déjà vu as LNG once again took an early lead. However, JDG, a team seasoned in their own unique playstyle, wouldn't yield so easily. In a couple of breathtaking teamfights, JDG managed to turn the tide in their favor, with LNG 369 showcasing his exceptional skill and boosting the team's morale. The collective prowess of JDG shone brightly as they secured the victory, cementing their place in the Knockout stage of League of Legends Worlds 2023.

The turning point came in a dramatic teamfight near the dragon pit when Gen.G executed a brilliant reversal. They harnessed this victory to snowball their advantage, sealing the deal with a siege on G2's base and securing the win.

Game 2

The second match of the series saw a significant shift in momentum. GEN Peanut, with his extraordinary playmaking skills, took the reins for the Korean squad.

Gen.G Doran
