League of Legends Patch 26.10 Notes: Lee Sin Rework, Nerfs, and Runes

The release of 2026 Season 2 Act 1 Pandemonium introduced massive shifts to League of Legends. Now, the first follow-up update has arrived. Patch 26.10 focuses on refining the new season mechanics by addressing outliers that overperformed or struggled during the initial launch. Riot Games has rolled out targeted champion adjustments, item tuning, and a significant update to minion aggro mechanics. Here is a look at exactly what is changing on Summoner's Rift.

Champion Buffs

Five champions are receiving direct buffs this patch. If your main has been struggling recently, this might be the update you were waiting for. The list includes Ambessa, Galio, Quinn, Wukong, and Zeri. These champions will all receive small boosts in terms of stats, which should give them a better foothold in the current meta and improve their win rates across the board.

Targeted Nerfs

While the buffs are spread out, the nerfs in Patch 26.10 are highly specific. Riot is actively trying to discourage certain flex picks and tone down oppressive strategies across different skill brackets. The champions taking a hit include:

  • Anivia Top (All Ranks)
  • Ashe Bot (All Ranks)
  • Naafiri Jungle (All Ranks)
  • Zed Mid (All Ranks)
  • Shyvana Jungle (Diamond 1 to Challenger)

The Shyvana nerf specifically targets the highest tiers of competitive play. When a champion dominates the Diamond to Challenger brackets so heavily, pro-players like Esports athletes and LoL elo boosters tend to rely on that character to secure fast and consistent wins. Riot is stepping in to keep her clear speed and damage aligned with intended power levels at the top of the ladder.

Lee Sin Adjustments

Lee Sin has been a staple of the jungle for 15 years. Originally, his high mobility and complex kit made him one of the most demanding and rewarding characters to master. However, modern champion designs feature just as much mobility, leaving the blind monk without his unique identity. Instead of a full rework, Riot is bringing his kit up to modern standards.

Safeguard (W): The shield strength is slightly lower, but the cooldown has been reduced to seven seconds. This cooldown reduction applies even when cast on non-champions. Lee Sin will also once again receive a shield when dashing to a minion or a ward.

  • Tempest (E): The attack damage scaling drops slightly from 100 percent to 90 percent.
  • Dragon's Rage (R): If the primary target of his ultimate dies upon impact, their body will still fly backward, knocking up and damaging any enemies in its path.

Item Updates

After Patch 26.9 dropped a new batch of items, the meta evolved, but also became unbalanced, so Riot is stepping in. Starting items are getting some attention this patch. Doran's Bow receives an attack damage increase from six to eight, while Doran's Helm gets a health bump from 110 to 140.

On the magic damage front, Lich Bane is receiving a solid upgrade. The ability power ratio goes from 40 percent to 45 percent, and the movement speed bonus increases from 4 percent to 6 percent.

Other items are seeing cost increases. Voltaic Cyclosword now costs 3000 gold instead of 2900. Gluttonous Greaves and Immortal Path also see a price hike from 950 to 1000 gold. Alongside the cost adjustment, players must now gather 10 stacks to reach maximum Omnivamp instead of the previous six.

Understanding these item breakpoints is crucial for climbing the ranked ladder. Players who ignore patch notes often fall behind the curve. Adapting quickly to these new item costs will give you a distinct advantage over your lane opponents.

League of Legends Runes

Rune Changes

Classic runes returning for the new season are also being tuned. Deathfire Touch proved too strong during early game trades. To fix this, Riot reduced its early damage output to make it less oppressive during the opening minutes of the laning phase.

Conversely, Stormraider's Surge has underperformed as the intended replacement for Phase Rush. To help it compete, the movement speed boost is increasing from 40 percent for melee and 30 percent for ranged up to 48 percent and 36 percent. The duration of this speed boost also extends from three seconds to four seconds.

Minion Aggro Overhaul

Minion aggro is receiving a major mechanical update. The system will no longer generate champion threat when an ally is damaged nearby. This means players can execute trades in the lane without automatically drawing minion attacks, provided the minions are already engaged with other targets. This fundamental shift will heavily impact trading patterns and wave management in solo lanes moving forward.
