With eight teams confirmed to participate, the competition is heating up as these organizations prepare to battle for the first-ever LCP championship.

Season Format Breakdown
The LCP 2025 season is divided into several phases, starting with the Regular Season and culminating in the Season Finals. Here’s a detailed look at how the season will unfold:
Regular Season Phases
The Regular Season consists of two phases:
Group Stage: Teams will be seeded into two groups based on their performance during the Mid Season. The top four teams will be placed in the Contender Group, while the bottom four will form the Breakout Group. Both groups will play a Single Round-Robin Best-of-3 (BO3) format to establish initial standings.
Group Seeding Bracket: A reshuffle will take place, where the 4th placed team from Contender faces the 1st placed team from Breakout, and the 3rd placed team from Contender faces the 2nd placed team from Breakout. The winners join the Contender Group, while the losing teams remain in Breakout. Teams will then compete in a Double Elimination format to determine who advances to the Season Finals Playoff.
Season Finals and Playoffs
The Playoffs will feature six teams: four from the Contender Group and two from the Breakout Group. These teams will engage in intense BO3 and Best-of-5 (BO5) matches, following a Double Elimination format. The stakes are high, as the top team will not only claim the LCP championship but also secure a coveted spot at Worlds.
Promotion and Relegation Tournament
At the end of the Season Finals, the bottom-ranked guest teams will face off in the Promotion and Relegation (P&R) tournament. This event offers a lifeline to teams aiming to retain their LCP spot or qualify for the 2026 season. The tournament will feature two types of guest spots:
Free-for-All (FFA): The lowest-placed guest team competes against Wild Card teams and those from domestic leagues.
Regional Merit: The second-lowest guest team, depending on their home region, will contest for this spot.
Winning teams will secure their rank in the LCP 2026, while the losing teams return to their domestic leagues or await Wild Card opportunities.
Live Patch Matches
In a bid to maintain competitive integrity, most matches will be played on the live patch unless a new patch is released too close to a match week or during ongoing Qualifying Series or Playoffs. In such cases, matches will proceed on the older patch to ensure fairness.
