Jinx Voice Actor Reveals Arcane Season 2 Finale Will Be "Devastating"
Arcane season 1 took viewers on an emotional rollercoaster, leading us through a mix of happiness, anger, shock, and even a touch of melancholy across its nine gripping episodes. The series earned widespread acclaim for its compelling storytelling and richly developed characters, winning over League of Legends fans and casual viewers alike and boosting LoL’s popularity beyond the borders of gaming and into the stratosphere of the entertainment industry.
Since the release of season 1 on Netflix, the anticipation for Arcane season 2 has only increased, with the new season scheduled for release later in 2024. While an official trailer for the upcoming season has yet to drop, the cast and crew have begun dropping a few hints every once in a while.
Arcane’s lead writer has confirmed the introduction of three new characters from the League of Legends universe, creating the space for new stories and expanding Arcane’s exploration of Runeterra. Additionally, Jason Spisak, the voice behind the enigmatic Silco, has hinted that the fan favorite villain might return for season 2, setting the stage for another round of intense drama and emotional turmoil.
Jinx voice actor Ella Purnell has offered fans a glimpse into the emotional journey awaiting them in Arcane season 2, after she commented on the deep connection she felt with the League of Legends characters.
The English actress recently shared her experience recording lines for the new season, which was very emotional, especially during a session for the season 2 finale. Ella revealed that she was moved to tears while performing ADR (automated dialog replacement) work for Arcane season 2.
According to Ella, the emotional depth of the season 2 finale is bound to leave viewers in tears as well.
This reveal went on to boost the hype that’s building within the League of Legends community. |
Ella plays Jinx in the series, the younger sister of Vi (Hailee Steinfeld), who is renowned for her wild and unpredictable nature. After losing her mind during season 1, Jinx ended the season with an explosive finale that’s left fans wanting more.
In addition to her role as Jinx in Arcane, Ella Purnell has made a mark in both film and television with other notable performances. She's recognized for portraying Emma Bloom in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, a young Maleficent in Maleficent, and Lucy MacLean in the recent live-action adaptation of the Fallout video game series.
While Ella has provided some hints about what's to come, Riot Games has kept the plot of Arcane Season 2 tightly under wraps. Season 1's conclusion left fans speculating about Mel Medarda's (Toks Olagundoye) fate after Jinx launched a Hextech-powered rocket toward the Piltover tower during the council meeting.
Season 2 of Arcane serves as a sequel to the animated series produced by Riot Games and Fortiche Production with the objective of boosting the game’s popularity. The first season delved into the backstories of League of Legends champions Jinx and Vi, exploring their upbringing in Zaun and the acquisition of their powers.
Arcane season 2 is set to premiere in November 2024, offering viewers and League of Legends fans another opportunity to immerse themselves in the series. Both seasons will be available for streaming on the Netflix platform, providing a convenient way to catch up on the action-packed saga.
