A new legend is about to be immortalized. Riot Games has officially announced that the 2025 Hall of Legends inductee for League of Legends will be revealed this May, marking the second time a professional player will receive this rare honor.

Following the monumental induction of Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok in 2024, fans are buzzing with anticipation over who could be next. The Hall of Legends is more than a trophy case—it’s Riot’s way of celebrating the players who have made lasting contributions to LoL and shaped the scene into what it is today.

What Is the Hall of Legends? Launched in 2024 in partnership with Mercedes-Benz, the Hall of Legends is an annual celebration of excellence in League of Legends esports. It honors one player each year for their impact on the game, both competitively and culturally. Last year, Riot commemorated Faker’s induction with an in-game event pass, exclusive cosmetics (including a premium Ahri skin), and even gifted him a custom Mercedes-AMG. A portion of event proceeds also went directly to Faker himself.

Who Will Join the Hall in 2025?

Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao

Despite never lifting the Summoner’s Cup, Uzi is widely regarded as one of the most mechanically gifted ADCs in League of Legends history. With two Worlds Finals appearances and a massive fanbase in China, Uzi’s influence is undeniable. He’s also never received a personal skin—a Hall of Legends nod could finally correct that.

Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu

Deft’s long road to glory ended with an emotional Worlds win in 2022, nine years into his career. Often seen as a rival and classmate to Faker, Deft’s perseverance and raw skill have made him a beloved figure in the esports world. His story would be a perfect fit for a legacy award.

Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng Doublelift is considered the face of LoL in North America. From overcoming a rough upbringing to becoming an eight-time LCS champion and now a top-tier content creator, his journey mirrors the rise of League of Legends itself. He continues to boost the game’s popularity in the West, even in retirement.

How the Inductee Is Chosen

Riot selects the Hall of Legends inductee through a panel of judges made up of regional league representatives and esports community figures. Candidates are evaluated based on their international and regional titles, legacy, cultural impact, and contributions to the game.
