Team Vitality vs. The World
Let’s talk about the elephant in the room: Team Vitality looks practically untouchable. After claiming back-to-back trophies at IEM Kraków and PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026, the squad opted to skip ESL Pro League Season 23 to rest and prep.
That break clearly paid off. Vitality steamrolled through their group stage matches in Rotterdam without dropping a sweat, earning a direct pass to the semifinals. They are the heavy favorites to take home their third consecutive tier-one trophy. Watching their flawless site executions makes a lot of casual players realize just how massive the skill gap is. While a frustrated matchmaking player might be tempted to look up CS2 boosting just to escape a terrible Premier rating, Vitality is out here making the best teams in the world look like amateurs through pure, unadulterated grind.
Vitality is currently waiting to see who survives the quarterfinal clash between Aurora and The MongolZ.
This quarterfinal is a coin toss. The MongolZ have been giant-slayers lately, notably knocking Team Spirit out of the group stage and securing a top-four finish back in Cluj-Napoca. On the flip side, Aurora comes in with a slight theoretical edge, having recently beaten The MongolZ during the online stage of EPL S23 before making it all the way to the grand finals of that event.
However, whoever crawls out of that quarterfinal brawl will have a mountain to climb. Vitality recently dismantled Aurora 2-0 during the IEM Kraków groups, and they delivered the exact same punishment in the Cluj-Napoca semifinals—including a brutally one-sided 13-3 map on Dust II.

The Revenge Bracket
The bottom half of the bracket is a chaotic web of grudges and rematches.
NAVI earned a direct trip to the semifinals, a welcome relief after their notoriously shaky start to the year. They recently found their footing by winning EPL Season 23, and they looked incredibly sharp in the Rotterdam groups, easily brushing aside Team Falcons.
Speaking of Falcons, they are still desperately hunting for a marquee tournament win. They came agonizingly close at the BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 event, only to be completely dismantled by PARIVISION in the grand finals. Now, Falcons will face PARIVISION again in the Rotterdam quarterfinals. Securing a revenge victory here would serve as a massive CS2 boost to Falcons' team morale and momentum heading into the rest of the season.
PARIVISION, meanwhile, is a team of extreme highs and frustrating lows. They won Bounty Winter and fought their way to the grand finals in Cluj-Napoca, only to be stopped by Vitality. If PARIVISION can push past Falcons and upset NAVI in the semifinals, they might just get their own shot at revenge against Vitality in the Rotterdam Grand Final.
Looking Ahead: The Post-Rotterdam Calendar
Once the confetti falls in Rotterdam, the top-tier Counter-Strike circuit will take a brief breather. The next major clash of the titans will be Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2026, scheduled for April 13 through April 19.
For the esports junkies who can't go a week without competitive matches, PGL Bucharest 2026 kicks off on April 3 and runs until April 11. Because it sits awkwardly close to IEM Rio, most top-flight teams are expected to skip it, making Bucharest an incredible proving ground for mid-tier rosters looking to make a name for themselves.
For now, all eyes are on Rotterdam. Will Vitality secure the three-peat, or is a massive playoff upset brewing? Let us know who you have taking the trophy in the comments below!
