Apex Legends' Kill Code: Episode 3: Loba and Revenant Team Up

Hey there, Legends! If you've been keeping up with the latest Apex Legends season, you know it's been a wild ride. Season 18 shook things up in a way we never saw coming—no new legend! Instead, Respawn gave us a whole lot of loot, but they also gave Revenant a huge boost and rework, as well as a brand-new animated series called Kill Code. Let's dive into Episode 3 and see what's happening in the world of bloodsport.

So, where were we? In the previous episodes, Revenant was on a rampage, trying to strangle Crypto, thinking he was behind all the glitches. But as it turns out, it was the sneaky mastermind, Torres "Duardo" Silva, Octane's grandpa, who was pulling the strings.

Episode 3 is where the real fun begins. The Legends unite for a mission.

Duardo holding the jarhead in Kill Code 3

They've tracked Duardo down to Malta, where he's hoarding Revenant's source code in a futuristic head-in-a-jar (yeah, you read that right!).

Crypto, Loba, Valkyrie, Lifeline, Mad Maggie, and Revenant himself agree that there’s only one way to boost their chances of success: it's time to put aside their differences and retrieve that precious source code.

However, as soon as they break in, things go haywire.

Lifeline gets spotted, and the facility goes on lockdown. Security forces are all over the place, and it's all-out chaos. What's their primary objective? Keep that jarhead safe and take out the opposition. The Legends even toss it around like a gruesome game of volleyball.

But in a surprising twist, mortal enemies Loba and Revenant put their differences aside to take on their foes together. It's like watching Thor and Loki work together, only with more bullets and violence!

Foes Become Friends Become Foes

However, just when you think things are going their way, disaster strikes. Loba almost draws a weapon on Valkyrie, who refuses to hand over the head-in-a-jar. Before a fight breaks out, the head vanishes from Valkyrie's hands, thanks to Loba's still-active Black Market. Duardo swipes it and disappears. You can imagine how this goes down with both Revenant (who just wants to end it all) and Loba (who wants him to suffer forever). Valkyrie's not too happy either, witnessing Loba's willingness to put a bullet in her loved one.

The surprising twist in this episode is the Legends having a serious argument but choosing to drop it in favor of saving their squadmates. Despite the epic fail, their bond is evident, even when they have opposing goals. This could come in handy if they ever go to war with Torres, which is looking more and more likely.

Speaking of Torres, he throws a never-before-seen giant mech at the Legends. It's like a pilot-less Titan with a bit of a Stalker mixed in to boost his appearance. If he's building stuff like that, who knows what other tricks he has up his sleeve? Some people even speculated that we might have a PVE mode sooner or later!

Plus, he knows Revenant's real name, Kaleb. That spells trouble and manipulation in the air.

What's next in the story? Respawn developers have confirmed that the Kill Code miniseries will continue throughout 2023. That massive "TO BE CONTINUED…" text at the end of the episode says it all.

So, Season 18 might be wrapping up, but the showdown between the Legends and Torres is just getting started. Get ready for more epic battles, unexpected alliances, and shocking twists. It's all part of the game, and we can't wait to see where this wild ride takes us next!
