Over the years, Apex Legends has seen its roster of Legends fight for the spotlight, and every season a new update ends up boosting a new Legend to the top of the ladder while making a couple of others pretty much unusable. Crypto has been quietly biding his time at the bottom of the pick-rate rankings for a while, but Season 16 finally gave him a chance to crawl out from the bottom and show his hidden strengths.

The Apex Legends fanbase is known for coming up with unusual strategies, as shown by a recent post on the Apex Legends subreddit titled "Fight went bad? Steal their respawn beacon with Crypto". Runsett posted a mind-blowing play where, in a minute-long video, they managed to turn a losing situation into a win.

During a firefight on Broken Moon, Runsett, playing as Crypto, and their squad found themselves on the losing side of the battle. Both teams suffered losses, but as Runsett retreated, they made a critical decision that turned the game on its head. Seizing the opportunity, the enemy team’s Newcastle rushed to try and bring back their fallen teammate Octane using a deployed Respawn Beacon.

However, Crypto managed to turn the situation around with quick thinking and resourcefulness. Using Crypto's drone, Runsett discreetly retrieved the fallen teammate banners and, surprisingly, used the enemies' Respawn Beacon to bring back their own team. The move was nothing short of a heist in the middle of chaos that resulted in a huge boost for the team.

The Apex Legends community blew up in the comment section. One of the commenters in r/apexlegends said: "Crypto mains can be so scary lol. Like no other legend could pull what is possibly the quickest reset ever, all while messing over the team that nearly killed you lmfao."
