Valorant Patch 8.11: Agent Buffs and Nerfs Detailed

Valorant Patch 8.11 is here, and it’s bringing a host of buffs and nerfs to some of your favorite agents. This latest update from Riot Games aims to shake up the current meta and give less-picked Duelists a chance to shine. Let's dive into the details and see how these changes can boost your performance on the battlefield.

Agent Buffs in Valorant Patch 8.11

Iso has been struggling to find his place in the meta, but this patch brings him some much-needed buffs. Iso's Double Tap (E) now grants a shield after a brief 1-second animation, during which he can't use his gun. The charges for this ability have been reduced from 2 to 1, but he regains a charge after securing two kills. These changes should boost Iso's reliability in contested spaces and make him a more formidable duelist.

Valorant Iso

Neon receives several buffs aimed at enhancing her mobility and combat effectiveness. Her sprint speed has been increased to 9.11 meters per second from 6.73, and her strafe speed is no longer reduced while sprinting. Additionally, her fuel regeneration time is now 20 seconds instead of a minute, and her Slide charges have been increased from 1 to 2. These buffs will significantly boost Neon’s ability to engage and disengage in fights, making her a top pick for aggressive players.

Agent Nerfs in Valorant Patch 8.11

Clove has been performing too well in ranked play, leading to several nerfs. The cost of Pick-Me-Up (C) has been doubled to 200 credits, and its duration has been reduced to 8 seconds. Additionally, the ultimate ability, Not Dead Yet (X), now requires 8 points instead of 7. These changes are intended to balance Clove's powerful abilities and bring them more in line with other agents.

Raze's satchel mobility has been toned down to allow for better counterplay. Her Blast Pack (Q) satchels no longer explode if destroyed by enemies, and her horizontal velocity when using them has been slowed. Additionally, enemies can now hear her satchels' audio from a greater distance. These nerfs aim to reduce the surprise element of Raze's mobility while still allowing her to make dynamic plays.

Mixed Changes for Reyna

To balance her dominance in ranked play and increase her effectiveness in competitive settings, Reyna receives both buffs and nerfs. Her healing from Devour (Q) is reduced to 50 HP, but the full heal time is now 2 seconds instead of 3. Her Dismiss (E) now reaches a top speed of 12 meters per second, albeit with a reduced duration of 1.5 seconds. Additionally, Empress (X), her ultimate, now remains active until her death or the end of the round. These adjustments are designed to boost Reyna’s flexibility and combat repositioning in Valorant’s changing meta.

Tips to Boost Your Gameplay

Master Iso’s Shield Timing: Use Iso’s new shield mechanic by timing your engages and retreats around the 1-second animation period. This will allow you to make the most of his increased durability.

Enhance Neon’s Mobility: Make full use of Neon's increased sprint speed and fuel regeneration. Her dual Slide charges allow for rapid repositioning, which can be a game-changer in fast-paced combat scenarios.

Adapt Clove’s Playstyle: With increased costs and reduced durations for Clove's abilities, use them more strategically. Efficiently deploying Pick-Me-Up can still provide crucial support during battles.

Counter Raze’s Mobility: Be aware of the new audio range for Raze's satchels to anticipate her movements better. This can help you set up traps and counter her aggressive plays effectively.

Leverage Reyna’s Repositioning: Take advantage of Reyna’s faster Dismiss to quickly reposition and surprise your enemies. Remember the shorter duration and plan your moves accordingly.
