Soul Fighters is a massive event that will arrive in League of Legends soon. Several champion skins, a new game mode, and new features will be included.

League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Wild Rift, and Legends of Runeterra will all receive a huge boost to the amount of content they have in the new event, Soul Fighter. Here's all you need to know to enjoy Soul Fighter's material, no matter how you like to experience the world of Runeterra.

Riot describes the event as being devoted to the traditional fighting game genre, which we already know Riot appreciates because they are working on Project L:

“a tribute to the fighting game genre, taking inspiration from the deep emotional resonance and unique character moments from fighting games and anime tournament arcs”

Soul Fighter will introduce a new game mode to LoL. League of Legends: Arena will follow the formula of a fighting game. Arena games have four teams of two players each engaging in a series of combat rounds against one another. This means you can tag along with your usual duo partner!

Fans are thrilled to try out a new mode of play in League of Legends, which appears to be a hybrid of TFT double-up and League.

However, this new addition to the League of Legends client has some players concerned about Arena's long-term viability and whether or not it will be removed in the near future.

After each round of battle, they'll boost themselves with new and different Augments (a mechanic that's clearly inspired by TFT) until no one but the last team remains. There are four distinct battlefields to engage in combat, each with its own size, terrain density, and overall feel.

Naafiri, the Hound of a Hundred Bites, a new Darkin champion, will also be introduced at this time with an event-themed skin.

We can't wait to see how Riot transforms Naafiri into her first skin and how Sett and Samira mesh with this new canon. A canine ringside at a cage match may make for a riveting story.

The PC client of League of Legends will soon have a new game available as well, "The Tournament of Souls".

By playing League matches, players will earn Reputation as Samira, allowing her to face more challenging opponents and acquire access to more powerful skills as the tournament progresses.

To win the event, you must go undefeated against its ten champions. There are rewards to be had for players who are victorious, and the game's Story and Expert difficulties offer varying degrees of complexity to accommodate players of varying skill and time commitment levels.

Skins inspired by the Soul Fighters are coming to the following League of Legends champions: Samira (Ultimate Skin), Viego (Legendary Skin), Naafiri, Shaco (with a Prestige Edition), Pyke (with a Prestige Edition), Sett, Lux, Jhin, Gwen, and Evelynn.

Teamfight Tactics will receive a Gwen Little Legend along with her Soul Fighter skin version.

The event's rewards won't be known until the PBE release date of June 27, 2023.

Like other summer events before it, this one will likely last for at least a month, so players who want both prestige skins will need to put in some serious time and effort.
