Atakhan Adjustments: Balancing the Rift

Riot Games is addressing concerns around Voracious Atakhan's underutilization. Currently appearing in less than 15% of matches, Atakhan’s presence is set to increase to 25%. The monster’s withdrawal kill reward has been boosted from 100 gold and one Bloody Petal to 200 gold and one Bloody Petal. However, its overall power has been slightly reduced to maintain balance.

Riot is closely monitoring Atakhan’s impact in competitive and casual gameplay to ensure its mechanics align with player expectations.

System Changes: Feats of Warfare and Bloody Roses

Bloody Roses

The base XP per petal has been decreased from 25 to 23, and the adaptive force per stack minimum is reduced from 39 to 34 stacks. These tweaks aim to keep Bloody Roses impactful while aligning them better with the broader gameplay strategy.

Feats of Warfare

Previously known as Feats of Strength, this system now rewards the first team to secure three kills instead of just First Blood. This change encourages a more dynamic playstyle in Ranked and Normal matches.

Threshold Adjustments

Threshold values in Normal/Ranked and Swiftplay games have been reduced by approximately 20%, creating a more accessible entry point for players across the board.

Blue Essence and XP Boost

  • Compensation Mission: A one-time mission awarding 4,250 BE will be live until the end of Act 1.

Additionally, account XP gains have been increased by 40%, providing a significant boost to progression.

ARURF Returns
