Jester Might Be Apex Legends' Season 20 New Legend

Apex Legends Season 19 is almost over, and while everyone is waiting to find out what Respawn has in store for us in Season 20 of the Apex Games, leakers have already datamined some interesting new files relating to an old concept legend. Is Jester set to take the stage and boost the roster of the Apex Games as the new Legend in Season 20 of Apex Legends? Recent leaks hint at the possibility of Jester, a character originally cut from Titanfall 2, making his debut in Season 20.

According to leaks circulating in the Apex Legends online community, Jester's development has been in the works for some time, with a close call in Titanfall 2 a few years ago.

The Legend's abilities, if they make it into Season 20, include a proximity mine, the ability to summon specters as reinforcements, and a squad-wide cloaking field.

Who is Jester in the Apex Legends Universe?

Originally intended for Titanfall 2, Jester was nearly added to the game, even inspiring the creation of collectibles and figurines. However, Respawn made a last-minute cut, and Jester vanished into obscurity until now.

Recent leaks, particularly from notable YouTuber and Apex Legends Content Creator Thordan Smash, shed light on Jester's potential toolkit, offering intriguing insights into the legend's abilities if introduced in Season 20.

Jester's Abilities

Rewire (Passive): Jester can transform any grenade into a proximity mine that sticks to surfaces. The ability to toggle between proximity mines and regular grenades is available when playing Jester, and the legend starts every game with a grenade.

Spectre Drop (Tactical): Summon a drop pod with three specters to boost your team and guard a designated area. Only one set can be active at a time. Spectres are familiar robots from the IMC Armories on Storm Point, adding a unique touch to Jester's summoning skill.

Cloak Field (Ultimate): Unleash a short-lived cloaking device that conceals all players within a confined area. The cloak persists for six seconds after leaving the cloaking field.

While similar to Mirage's abilities, the Cloak Field might add a playful element to casual matches or cooperative play with friends since it will be boosting your entire squad with invisibility most of the time. This could make for a playmaker skill in competitive play and allow for some interesting third-partying.

Jester New Legend

 Jester's Identity

Known as the "Tricky Trapper," Jester's toolkit, from Proximity Mines to the Cloaking Field, suggests he’ll be a success with players who like a well-planned and strategized style. His backstory, dating back to before his removal from Titanfall 2, paints him as an independent bounty hunter who communicates solely through proxies. Initially planned as an experimental IMC Simulacrum based on a highly decorated deceased operative, Jester's lore shares similarities with legends like Revenant and Ash.

However, his style and story suggest he won’t be an aggressive or violent type of character but more of a playful, chaotic-neutral type. Jester, like Revenant, might not have been aware of his Simulacrum nature, adding a layer of mystery to his character.

Season 19 is almost over, and Apex Legends Season 20: Outurbana is just around the corner. We can barely wait for Respawn to confirm or deny Jester's role as the Season 20 Legend. Regardless, the leaked abilities suggest that they already have a completed toolkit that could bring a refreshing dynamic to the world of Apex Legends.
