Valorant Patch 8.01: Skye Nerf, Iso Buffs, and Map Updates

Valorant Patch 8.01 just landed, and Riot is shaking up the game with some tweaks to Breeze, a Skye nerf, a boost to Iso’s power level, and a long-awaited fix for the jump throw lineup behavior. Let's dive into the details of Valorant's latest update.

What’s changing in Valorant Patch 8.01?

First up, Breeze lovers, your A Hall is back in action! Now, for the Skye mains out there, brace yourselves. Skye's Guiding Light got a little reality check. No more charging up in the middle of a round, and the flash now automatically activates at the end of its lifetime. Plus, if a Seeker is approaching a target, expect a yellow warning indicator. Skye's still the queen, but she's got some new rules to play by.

Iso's got a glow-up. His Double Tap (E) just got an upgrade: longer orb duration, extended buff and shield time, and a sleeker shield width. That means more time to flex your agency and combat advantage. Also, they cut Contingency's cost to 200!

Raze has cranked up the volume on her Blast Pack (Q). Now, when she's soaring through the air towards you, it's going to be loud and clear. No more surprise Bombshell visits.

The infamous jump throw lineup behavior just got a makeover! If you hit a throw projectile button within 100 ms of a jump start, you're getting consistent velocity every time. It's still a jump throw, but with a precision boost—clean, consistent, and ready to land in the same spot every time.

Valorant Agent Updates

Lights out for Skye

Oh, Skye, you're getting a makeover! Riot's tweaking her to be more intentional with Guiding Light (E). No more mid-round recharges, and the flash auto-pops at the end. Seekers are now giving out yellow warnings too.

Iso's Time to Shine

Iso's buffed up and ready to roll. Riot is boosting his Double Tap (E) with a longer duration, an extended buff and shield, and a slimmer shield width. Plus, Contingency's cost getting lowered is a big change that will allow Iso to shine. Riot's treating Iso mains like royalty.

Raze's Volume

Raze is getting a megaphone on her Blast Pack (Q). Well, not really, but now when she's flying towards you, it's gonna be loud and clear. No more sneaking around.

Gameplay and Performance Updates

Faster Load Times

Valorant's hitting the gym and getting leaner. Improved boot and match load times—because who wants to wait around when there's action to jump into?

Player Behavior - TLDR

Riot's not holding back on the details, they’re adding extra text to the behavioral messaging system because communication is key, even in the gaming world.

Bug Fixes: No More Sneaky Gekkos!

Gekko's Thrash (X) explosion won't be hiding behind corners anymore. Iso and Reyna's orbs are now going to spawn properly when taking out bots in the Range.

Mode Fixes: Outlaw Ammo and Premier Standings

Outlaw's got reserve ammo now, even when you pick it up from a weapon spawner. The Valorant Premier Standings load up properly now. No more standing in the dark about your zone/division.

And there you have it, Agents! Valorant Patch 8.01 is the game-changer we didn't know we needed. Get out there, explore the changes, and keep those headshots coming!
