Valorant patch 7.09 is finally here, bringing in Episode 7 Act 3, and a bunch of exciting changes. Let's break it down for you.
New Agent: Iso
Episode 7, Act 3, introduces Iso, a fresh face from China. Iso is the seventh duelist boosting the Valorant roster, and players are eager to see what this new character brings to the game. Even before his official debut, leaked art portrayed him as the typical Valorant fan, instantly making him popular. He combines gamer style with internet culture, and Valorant players could barely wait to play as Iso in the new Episode! |
Agent Buffs and Nerfs
The primary goal of this patch is to balance the power between Sentinels, particularly Cypher, and other agents. Cypher's Trapwire (C) has been updated to make interactions more favourable for him. This change encourages enemies to be more deliberate when using their utility to counter Sentinel setups. The potency of Cypher's traps has increased when they catch an enemy, making them more threatening.
Cypher, the mysterious Sentinel from Morocco, is getting a significant boost in this update. Players have been thrilled with the changes, making him even more powerful. His Trapwires have been improved, making him a formidable force to be reckoned with.
Riot Games keeps sending out balancing updates, fine-tuning the game's agents and weapons. After addressing smokes in the previous patch, 7.08, they've targeted a few agents in this update. Skye and Fade have seen some nerfs favour Cypher, with adjustments to their utility for better interaction with his Trapwires. Raze, the explosive duelist, has also faced some nerfs across the board.
Raze must now be more precise with her Paint Shells (E) to deal damage to enemies and destroy traps. She will also need to make thoughtful decisions about whether to use Blast Pack (Q) for mobility or damage.
Weapons and Other Features
As for weapon updates, the Judge shotgun is undergoing some changes to boost its role as a stationary, close-quarters weapon. The magazine size has been reduced to encourage players to reload more efficiently and create more opportunities for enemies to catch them in the act.
In terms of player behaviour updates, reporting others in-game now offers an additional option to mute the reported player, giving you more control over your gaming experience.
And in the game’s social features, some icons in the Friends List have been updated to show when friends are playing other Riot Games. This includes Riot Mobile and TFT, with unique icons for each game. Online players in Riot Mobile now display a grey dot on their Player Card Image.
The "Unknown Product" icon has been replaced with a red Riot fist instead of a grey dot. Icons for people playing LoL, LoR, and WildRift have also been updated.
Valorant Patch 7.09 is an exciting update, bringing new Agent Iso and making significant adjustments to Cypher and other agents, along with some weapon tweaks that are sure to improve your playing experience. Get ready to dive into the action in Episode 7, Act 3!
