The progression system Riot developed for Valorant has been updated again, so players may expect a new and improved experience.

Gamers of Valorant, prepare to experience an exciting quality of life update in your favorite video game with the introduction of Episode 7 Act 1. The progression system has undergone considerable improvements as Riot boosts the amount of rewards in game and the path to getting them, including improved daily incentives, added agent items, as well as contracts, in addition to a brand new free in-game currency.

As soon as this Act's Night Market ends on June 27, the new Episode will begin. Here is a summary of all the new features you'll find with the new progression system.

Kingdom Credits - Valorant's new currency

With the release of Episode 7 in Valorant, a brand new free in-game currency called Kingdom Credits will make its debut. Players will be able to buy a variety of goods with the credits, not only from agent contracts but also from the brand-new in-game accessory store.

This new currency's icon looks like a stylish card with the letter "K" on it. In the upper right corner of the game's menu, next to your Radianite and Valorant Points, you will now find the Kingdom Credits.

You won't be able to buy any "premium" stuff, like cosmetics or skin packs, because the credits can be collected for free, and Riot still wants to monetize cosmetic accessories. Instead, it will enable you to access free content, such as an agent's contract and loot you failed to collect in a previous battlepass.

What can I buy with Kingdom Credits in Valorant?

Every game mode will grant Kingdom Credits except for the Deathmatch mode, and in games featuring rounds, you can gain extra credits by winning those rounds, so there will be no point in trying to afk farm.

Wouldn't it be a dream to just get home from a long day and login to find a couple thousand Kingdom Credits in your account? Well, don't let your dreams be dreams! Get a Radiant player to farm them for you with a Valorant Boost, for example, with Unrated Wins!

While credits are free, there's a cap of 10.000 Kingdom Credits so don't keep them in your wallet.

You'll be able to use them to buy Agents, Agent Gear and Battlepass Loot from past battlepasses, including gun buddies, sprays, titles, and player cards.

Agent Contracts become Agent Recruitment Events

Riot has announced that Valorant Agent Contracts will receive a re-work; they will now be referred to as Agent Recruitment Events.

Agent Contracts will become a battle pass that may be used to gain XP to obtain Agents and their related loot. These will automatically activate with the free Event Passes and are valid for 28 days; players will not need to activate them again manually. When Agent number 23 is released in Valorant, the new system will be added to the game.

You can advance your Agent Recruitment by playing to unlock the selected Agent, the same way as before, but now you will earn Kingdom Credits while doing it, which you can use to boost the speed at which you get the contract completed.

Of course, you can also use VP to buy them, but who does that, right guys?.. Right guys???

You have a limited amount of time to earn enough XP for new Agents. If the window of opportunity runs out, you can choose to get the Agent by paying 8,000 Kingdom Credits. If you don't intend to wait that long, you will still be able to hire them with Valorant Points.
