Valorant Patch 8.09 Notes and the Holomoku Bundle Leak
This week was a roller coaster for Valorant, with the 8.09 patch and the most recent weapon skin leaks! Riot Games' latest Valorant patch, released on May 15, 2024, has left players underwhelmed. The 8.09 patch notes are among the shortest ever seen, featuring only a minor buff to Brimstone’s skills and a few bug fixes.
Valorant Patch 8.09 Notes
The patch includes an update for Brimstone and some general bug fixes to boost game performance and stability.
Agent Updates
Brimstone Buff: The radius of his Sky Smokes (E) has increased from 410 to 415 units. Additionally, the update ensures that the smoke now fully covers the area shown by the targeting UI, eliminating small gaps when placing smokes across choke points.
While Brimstone players will appreciate these changes, the update is minimal and may have been more impactful if included in a larger patch.

Gameplay and System Updates
Patch 8.09 for Valorant has brought some useful updates. First off, they fixed the problem where players would lose their saved crosshair profiles. Unfortunately, if you lost your crosshair settings before this update, you'll need to recreate and save them again.
Another fix addressed the issue where the "Killed By" feed displayed wrong information, which often confused players. While it may seem minor, it significantly impacts the gameplay experience.
They also fixed the bug where bullet traces appeared even when turned off. Additionally, they have fixed the annoying game-freezing issue that required players to restart Valorant after each match. Now, transitioning between matches should be smoother.
Looking ahead, the Valorant team hinted at some exciting updates that will boost your gaming experience, coming soon. Although details are scarce, they mentioned they're working on "bigger things."

We expect the Holomoku bundle to be a Deluxe-tier collection, taking the place of the Mystbloom bundle. It will be available in two different colors but won't offer skin enhancements. @ValorLeaks on X (Twitter) primarily shared the leak, suggesting that the bundle will include five weapons, player cards, and gun buddies.
Included WeaponsThe Holomoku bundle will feature:
Visual DesignThe primary design of the Holomoku bundle features a wooden finish with futuristic elements on the barrels, while the secondary design boasts a watercolor look with a blue silhouette. |
When will the Holomoku Bundle be available?
We estimate the Holomoku bundle, a Deluxe-tier collection, to cost around 5100 Valorant Points (VP). Players will also have the option to purchase individual weapon skins from the bundle, each costing 1275 VP.
The Holomoku bundle is expected to appear in the tenth Night Market and other in-game shops soon.
While the 8.09 patch may have been a disappointment in terms of Agent updates, it fixed a lot of huge bugs, and the leak of the Holomoku bundle offers a silver lining, providing players with new content to look forward to in Valorant.
