TSM's place in the LCS is up for grabs. CLG are over forever! The LCS is in absolute chaos!

The LCS has included Team SoloMid (TSM) in its ranks since its debut. The squad leads the North American LoL Championship in trophies and has provided a boost for many prominent players in their development.

Several of the greatest figures in the business have called out the organization we've come to know and love since they have recently been involved in various problems, such as suing DoubleLift (maybe he should just work with us, elo boosting). Since its former main sponsor FTX filed for bankruptcy, the lack of funds they could use to boost their teams with better players and conditions is now gone. This means that the North American team will have to sell its spot in the LCS after 10 years as a household name.

A story in the Sports Business Journal said that TSM seems to want to stop a few of its esports teams, including their LCS team, on March 31, 2023. The story claims that TSM plans to disband its competitive teams for League of Legends, Fortnite, VALORANT, and Apex Legends. This also tanks any plans that they might have had to join the Counter-Strike 2 competitive scene.

The TSM news, which struck over the first week of April, is still fresh in the esports industry, but it appears that there is a far more devastating bomb dropping. Independent League of Legends writer Travis Gafford has reported that the well-known esports business Counter Logic Gaming will cease all operations and fire all of its employees, starting pretty much right away.

A large number of professional players will be forced to search for different revenue sources such as boosting the roster of other teams, working in elo boosting or streaming. While we know that live lol mmr climbs are always fun and watching two pros chilling in Duo Queue is great, we still think those are cheap alternatives.

It's possible that the final game CLG played in the 2023 LCS Spring Playoffs was the final time we saw CLG jerseys on stage.

Not just CLG fans, but the entire esports world, are completely shocked by this. For such a young industry as the gaming market, 10 years feels like a lifetime, yet Counter Logic Gaming has been a staple of the North American gaming scene for well over a decade now, so their name is already one we have always taken for granted.

On April 3, 2023, Travis Gafford posted a brief YouTube video detailing every piece of information that was known regarding Counter Logic Gaming's downfall. Travis claims that starting on April 6, 2023, CLG will instantly halt all of their esports activities and dismiss every employee. Greg Kim, the business's CEO, will also be let go.

Throughout the years, Counter Logic Gaming has participated in a variety of esports competitions, including those for CS:GO, Call of Duty, and, of course, League of Legends. It appears that there are discussions about selling their LCS team to some other organization, despite the fact that their squads will be disbanding.

According to privileged information provided by Travis Gafford, NRG, a rival esports organization, may be interested in purchasing CLG's League of Legends division. Those who have followed the LCS for a while may be familiar with the name of the company because, between 2015 and 2016, NRG created a squad, to boost the North American League both on the LCS and in the international stages, before dissolving it before 2017 even started.

The Madison Square Garden Company, best known for being the owner of the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers, bought Counter Logic Gaming in 2017. Yet, CLG had already gained a reputation for being among the most dominant organizations in the league when they were among the first squads in the 2013 NA LCS season.

TSM's place in the LCS is up for grabs. CLG are over forever! The LCS is in absolute chaos, and we're afraid to ask, What's next?

But hey, as Kha'Zix says, "change is good," so maybe this is the next evolutionary step for the LCS.
