As League of Legends players gear up for the climactic conclusion of Season 2023, there's a big twist this time around. Riot Games, known for keeping things fresh, has introduced a split system, dividing the traditional season into two distinct halves.

Amidst the excitement and speculation, one burning question is on everyone’s mind in the League of Legends community: when does League of Legends Season 2023 Split 2 end?

Understanding the Split System

Unlike previous seasons, Season 2023 brought about a significant change in the form of a split system. Instead of one continuous ranked season, players now navigate through two half-year-long splits. This shift has prompted discussions among the player base, which wants to understand the impact of this new structure.

When Does Season 2023 Split 2 End?

While Riot Games hasn't officially confirmed this date, community speculation points towards a likely end on January 4, 2024. This estimation comes from Riot's announcement of a 1.5-month extension for Season 2023, coupled with the average time they should take to implement changes for the new ranked season. While you still have about two months to grind your rank, you can also get a League of Legends Elo Boost to guarantee your rewards.

2023 Victorious Skin and Ranked Rewards

On November 20, 2023, Riot Games will showcase all the content that League of Legends players will earn once the season ends. This will include the traditional Victorious skin (rumours say it might be a champion from the Void, maybe Kai'sa?), Division chromas, icons, emotes, and maybe an exclusive Ward skin!

When Does League of Legends Season 2024 Begin?

Beyond the imminent end of Season 2023, players are eager to peek into what Season 14 has in store. Season 2025 starts on January 9, 2024, with Split 1. The following splits are scheduled for May and September. This structured approach aims to provide players with a more defined and engaging experience, fostering a sense of progression and achievement throughout the competitive journey while creating interest in playing ranked despite hitting a specific plateau.

Say Goodbye to the Pre-Season

A notable change from the previous calendar is the absence of the pre-season between the end of a League of Legends season and the start of the next. Traditionally serving as a transitional phase, allowing players to adapt to changes and updates, Riot Games' decision to remove the pre-season indicates a desire for a more seamless transition. This change ensures that the competitive spirit remains vibrant and uninterrupted year-round, boosting the game's competitive spirit and dynamic.

Teamfight Tactics tested out this new structure by having only a couple of days of hiatus between seasons (called Sets in TFT), and it proved to be a great decision.

As the League of Legends community anticipates the end of Season 2023 Split 2, players find themselves on the brink of a new era defined by splits and strategic shifts. The community is eagerly anticipating the transition into Season 14 and the next stage in the development of the ranked experience, even though Riot Games has not yet officially confirmed the end date.
