2024 is shaping up to be one heck of a ride for League of Legends. Riot Games just released the entire patch schedule with all the changes boosting LoL in the upcoming year, and oh boy, are we in for a treat.
In a blog post on Riot's official website, they explained that they want the community to know everything they have in store for us right away. Why? Because they know that to keep the League magic alive, they've got to keep things fresh. And boy, are they delivering on that front with Season 14!
When does League of Legends Season 14 begin?
League of Legends Season 14 (or Season 2024) begins on January 10. For this season, Riot Games has announced they will be releasing 24 patches throughout the year, two per month, with May getting three and December getting only one.

As for the details on what’s new, Summoner's Rift, the battlefield for League of Legends, is getting a facelift, with a few changes being made to the top and bot lane, making them a bit more symmetric, and removing some of the advantage from the Blue side. You can also expect changes to balance the game often, as Riot has done across every season in the past. This year, however, Riot is making big moves when it comes to Lore, and the Void is stepping into the limelight, being responsible for several modifications to the jungle mobs who are receiving a visual rework and a stat boost. |

The Baron is also getting a few new skills and some extra minions added to his army. Riot's also tinkering with items, so get ready to adapt your build strategies.
Riot Games also announced they will be posting a full item list with all the details about the boosts, nerfs, and reworks to existing items, along with the new items being added soon, at least 48 hours before the patch is released.
