Disguised Toast celebrates his first big victory as DSG wins the 2023 NACL Summer Split in their first season ever.

The squad that boosted the NACL to new heights of fame has now reaped the rewards of their investment.

For Disguised Toast and his esports adventures, 2023 has been a wild ride. The Twitch.tv superstar created two separate VCT Game Changers squads that eventually were let go, but even before that, he started out with a Valorant NA Challengers squad that signed the VCT veteran 'yay'. He soon received an invitation to compete in the LCS Challengers circuit as well.

However, Toast has had issues ever since the launch of his esports organization, DSG. From the lineup of the Valorant Challengers failing in the second split and being demoted to the ups and downs of the Game Changers group, it has been an expensive undertaking, with the content maker apparently losing almost $1 million in the last eight months.

However, DSG has now achieved its first significant victory after taking home the League of Legends NACL Summer Split championship in their inaugural NACL split.

DSG Official Roster

The squad that represented the Cloud9 Academy main team and other promising talents from earlier LCS academy teams were gathered to make up the new DSG roster.

The team managed to play well throughout the group stage, qualifying as the third seed even if they were playing in this league together for the first time. Once the team clicked together, there was a clear performance boost for DSG as they went on a roll after they reached the playoffs, burning their way to the top of the ladder.

DSG advanced through the top bracket, dropping just three games in their three series matches to get to the LAN finals.

Additionally, they faced an Evil Geniuses' Challengers squad that had recently completed a run in the lower bracket in the Grand Finals. Making it DSG's very first Grand Finals participation.

DSG won the first couple of games of the Grand Finals in a close contest. When EG took the third map, though, they raised the prospect of a reverse sweep. Despite the morale boost, EG were unable to step up, and DSG won game four to seal the deal and proclaim themselves the NACL Summer Split winners.

After months of battle in 2023, this triumph is Toast's very first significant victory. After winning the Spring Split with Cloud9 Challengers, this is also Fakegod, Tomio, and Zeyzal's second split triumph of the year.

DSG's road to glory has just begun and we can't wait to see where they go next!
