After Yuumi was selected or banned from every Summer Split game, LCK fans are furious.
Yuumi, the cat support, who has been selected or banned from every game of the Summer Split, has drawn criticism from LCK watchers on Reddit for her excessive presence.
Even after several people spoke out against the platform, League of Legends subreddits seem to be functioning properly.
League of Legends' LCK Summer Split has only recently begun, but regrettably, critics have already voiced their dissatisfaction. The best talent in the League of Legends community is frequently on display in the Korean League, but this level of quality seen only on the LCK and in top rated elo boosters has been stifled by the domineering presence of a mystical cat.
Since she first appeared on the rift, Yuumi has become one of the most troublesome champions. The supporting cat, which was first introduced in May of this year, could leap onto teammates and bestow various shields, heals, and buffs to keep them healthy and alive during long teamfights. However, when Yuumi leapt onto an ally, she would become untargetable, eliminating the counterplay that most enchanters had.
Although Yuumi's revamp looks extremely similar to her original kit, it functions very differently. She no longer has the unreasonably high damage output that she had prior to the nerfs; instead, she is clearly focused on healing and defensive play. Her E also shifted from healing to granting a shield to an ally, with her heal now going to other components of her kit.
If the magical cat weren't so well-liked among elite League of Legends players, her issues might not have been as severe. Due to this, she has experienced numerous nerfs over the course of her career, with a mid-scope update trying to address her problems. Yuumi remains a significant issue even after the change, as evidenced by her current selection and ban rates in the LCK Summer Split.
Is Yuumi boosting win rates or getting boosted?
The Reddit thread claims that Yuumi has either been picked or banned from all 26 games that have been played during the split. With a meager 33.3% win rate at the moment, she might have been more of a hazard and not a boost to her side in the games in which she was selected.
A Redditor commented:
“They designed an enchanter that is entirely immune to the class’ main weakness… Just killing them.
She isn’t even a good new player champ because she doesn’t serve to teach players anything."
For the moment, players are expecting that Yuumi will undergo a major rework soon, eliminating her ability to become untargetable entirely. Fans will have to wait a while before a more long-lasting solution is found, though, as her mid-scope update was just recently finished.
