After one of the most exciting underdog stories in the history of League of Legends competitive play, DRX won the League of Legends World Championship in 2022 against all odds. Faker used to be Deft's schoolmate when they were young; now, they saw each other on opposing sides of an all-out war for ultimate glory.

Today, we finally get to take a look at the skins Riot has created for them. These skins will be available on the rift shortly, but which champions were selected and by whom?

Who is getting a DRX skin and how much will they cost?

Each year, after we crown the winner of the League of Legends World Championship, the victorious team selects a champion for each team member who will receive a skin in the team's motif. 2023 will witness seven new champion skins, which always boost the champion's popularity.

Of the seven new skins, five will boost the wardrobes of the main rosters' favorite champions; one will be awarded to Juhan's Maokai; and one will be a prestige skin to honor the 2022 Finals MVP with a special treat.

Kingen's Aatrox will be getting the first ever Prestige World Championship skin, starting a new tradition for MVPs getting Prestige editions.

The full list includes DRX skins for Aatrox, Maokai, Kindred, Akali, Caitlyn, Ashe, and the special Prestige DRX Aatrox.

Each skin will cost 1350 RP, except for the prestige skin, which will cost 125 Mythic Essence.

In addition, DRX has included adorable little alpaca references in their skins as a nod to bot lane legend Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu.

When will the DRX skins be released?

With two champion mid-scope updates, additional champion balancing adjustments, and the addition of the DRX World Championship skins to live servers, Riot Games is ready to go bananas with LoL Patch 13.11.

Rell and Ivern are also getting reworked to make them more interesting and appropriate to the game's current state and theme.

These skins will be made available in LoL Patch 13.11. The patch will be live on June 1, 2023; however, skins won't be available for purchase until June 2, 2023, because they are typically introduced to the client the day after the patch.

What else is new in Patch 13.11?

Ivern's mid-scope was meant to go live in LoL Patch 13.10, but Riot has postponed it while they continue to improve on the abilities in response to player and fan complaints. Riot has a rough idea about what they want for Ivern, but in the next two weeks, expect some additional adjustments.

The modifications to his equipment are intended to improve him and possibly even allow him to play as a support. Daisy's relevance for players was a significant topic that Riot addressed. A lot of players are skeptical of this rework since many believed that what Riot had in mind were essentially just nerfs for the champion.

League of Legends Rell, the Iron Maiden

Rell is also getting a couple of tweaks in LoL Patch 13.11. Riot significantly updated her E and greatly improved her dismounted form.

She also got a buff to her passive, it can now stack. Because of this, some of her base stats have been reduced. She is now one of the strongest tanks if she manages to land a good combo because the passive has been integrated into every ability, including AoE moves.

She can now successfully CC foes during battles thanks to the improved Q, giving her more options to engage, trap, or stop opponents in their tracks. Since the shield break is still a key component of the ability, she can use it as a frontline tool to destroy shields or combine it with her W for deadly combinations against the backline.

Her dismounted form will significantly improve, as it will grant her attack speed and attack range as well as extra damage to jungle camps. Due to her poor attack and movement speed, Rell has had difficulty dismounting. These improvements should aid her in combat and make her dismounted form feel much better.

Rell's E was replaced with a full charge, finalized by hard CC. Her ultimate skill, however, will remain the same.

Riot is showering us with new content and we can't wait to try it all out!
