Boost Your CS2 Arsenal with Weapon Charms and the Armory Battle Pass

Valve’s latest update to Counter-Strike 2 has introduced a new cosmetic feature: weapon charms. While cosmetics like skins, stickers, and nametags have long been a staple in the game, this marks the first time players can attach charms to their weapons, just like in Valorant. For many Counter-Strike players, collecting unique weapon cosmetics is a huge part of the experience, with the skin trading market moving millions of dollars every year.

With the launch of weapon charms, CS2 is offering two initial sets: the Missing Link Charms and the Small Arms Charms. These fun additions let players equip quirky options like tiny sausages or miniature guns to personalize their in-game arsenal. It’s a playful and creative way to add more character to your favorite weapons.

CS2 Armory Battle Pass

The Armory Battle Pass for CS2

In addition to charms, Valve is also rolling out the Armory Battle Pass, which promises even more cosmetic content. As stated in the update, activating a pass allows players to earn credits that can be exchanged for a variety of items. The pass system is flexible, allowing players to stack up to five passes at once and make progress on all of them simultaneously. With the introduction of new skins, stickers, and charms, the Armory Battle Pass is designed to keep things fresh and exciting for the CS2 community.

Buying and Selling Armory Cases

Historically, CS:GO operations and most Viewer Passes for Majors have been solid investments. Selling cases in the early days or holding onto them for future sales has often yielded a good return compared to the initial cost. Items like operation skins, Agents, and souvenir cases tend to appreciate in value over time. However, with the Armory Pass now priced at $16, it's less certain if purchasing one will guarantee the same level of profit.

That said, it still seems like a worthwhile investment. The wide range of items and the increased price might deter some players, which could boost the rarity and value of the skins. Once the trade ban lifts on October 10, we’ll get a clearer idea of the market value for the new cases and items, making it easier to judge potential profit.

When Does the Armory Pass Expire?

While there isn’t official confirmation on how long the Armory Pass will last, the limited-edition Desert Eagle | Heat Treated, exclusive to this event, will only be available for 103 days after the update. This suggests the pass might expire around January 14, 2025. However, it’s also possible that Valve could make the pass a permanent feature, with periodic item refreshes. At this point, Valve’s long-term plans for the Armory Pass remain unclear.

Boosting Personalization in CS2

The introduction of weapon charms is a big step in boosting weapon skin customization in CS2. These cosmetics, while not directly affecting gameplay or player ranks, add an extra layer of fun and creativity, letting players stand out on the battlefield. With the Armory Battle Pass, Valve is also providing players with more opportunities to unlock unique cosmetic items, making it easier to customize your loadout without needing to spend big money on rare skins.

A New Era for CS2

The addition of charms, alongside the updated skins and stickers, shows that Valve is committed to keeping CS2 dynamic and engaging. This focus on cosmetics, coupled with the Armory Battle Pass, provides players with plenty of options to personalize their experience and keep things interesting. The CS2 Armory update will unlock new ways to boost your weapon's style with charms and a battle pass chock-full of new cosmetics to grind for.
