Is Loba good in Apex Legends?
Loba stands out for her ability to remotely acquire gear for her team. With her Eye for Quality and Black Market Boutique skills, she can identify and steal items from afar, boosting her team with the best gear quickly and safely. Loba's Ultimate, the Black Market, makes securing top-tier weapons a breeze, allowing players to focus more on safety than scavenging.
Loba’s Skills
Passive: Eye for Quality
Loba's innate ability as a thief, Eye for Quality, lets her see valuable items through containers, like Supply Bins and Care Packages. She can ping these items for her team, including Mythic Items, within a range of 112.5 meters. However, she can't see inside Death Boxes. If she sees an item grayed out, it means an enemy is nearby.
Tactical: Burglar’s Best Friend
Loba's signature move, Burglar’s Best Friend, allows her to throw a bracelet and teleport where it lands. She can teleport at any point during the throw, making it useful in combat situations, albeit with an 8-second cooldown. The bracelet has a total throw distance of 71 meters on normal ground and 100 meters on higher ground. It can be used on ziplines and doesn't start cooldown if thrown out of bounds. After teleporting, Loba has a brief animation delay before she can use weapons, and a visible travel trajectory reveals her location to enemies.
Ultimate: Black Market Boutique

Loba's ultimate ability, Black Market Boutique, deploys her staff to create a portal where she and her team can acquire items from nearby containers. The portal has 100 health and takes 4.5 seconds to activate, with a 2-minute cooldown (starting at 50% charge). Only Loba can take two items per player, including full stacks of consumables and ammo. Special interactions include floating items within the portal's vicinity and leaving a trail when taken. Opening closed containers destroys the Black Market. It also serves as a loot radar, indicating valuable areas for exploration and alerting enemies when destroyed. |

How to Play Loba in Apex Legends
In Apex Legends, Loba stands out for her unique ability to remotely interact with items, giving her and her team a boost when equipping themselves. Here's how to make the most of her skills:
- Don't land directly in high-traffic looting zones. Instead, land nearby to avoid drawing attention, while still being able to use Loba's Black Market (Ultimate) once it's fully charged.
- When activating Black Market, be ready to choose weapon combinations quickly. Loba's ability to steal any equipment means she should adapt to any available weapons on the fly.
- Since Loba can take unlimited items from the Black Market, prioritize equipping your team with the best gear. Drop items quickly for teammates to pick up, but be cautious as other Black Markets can steal them.
Support Class Enhancements
As a member of the Support Class, Loba received enhancements in the February 2023 update, further solidifying her role as a thief with a dash of healing:
- Loba can now craft Ally Banners at Crafting Stations, even if they are expired, for 30 Crafting Materials. These banners contain all recoverable teammates.
- Loba can access Secret Compartments in Blue Bins, increasing her chances of finding healing items. Opening compartments outside the Ring increases the chance of Heat Shields, while carrying a teammate's banner boosts the chance of finding a Mobile Respawn Beacon.
