Respawn Forced to Disable Valkyrie in Apex Legends Three Strikes LTM

Apex Legends has made the tough decision to remove Valkyrie from the roster of playable characters in the Three Strikes Limited Time Mode (LTM) due to a game-breaking bug. This move aims to prevent ongoing issues that have impacted players' matches extremely negatively, particularly in the fan-favorite casual mode. The bug related to Valkyrie's abilities, particularly her Ultimate, Skyward Dive, has caused frustration among players, often resulting in unjustified deaths during gameplay.

While this decision may disappoint the Valkyrie mains out there, trust us, it’s for the better. Respawn Entertainment really is making sure they maintain a positive gaming experience for all players. Removing Valkyrie from the Three Strikes LTM playlist is a temporary measure that will boost the quality of gameplay as a "band-aid" solution by mitigating the bug's impact until a permanent solution can be implemented.

In the meantime, players can continue to enjoy the Urban Assault Collection Event, with all the new content and cosmetics it brought to Apex Legends Season 21.

What is the Valkyrie Three-Strikes LTM Bug?

Players using Valkyrie will get teleported to the center of the map after activating Skyward Dive, Valkyrie’s Ultimate skill. While this bug can help players escape tricky situations and boost their chances of winning, it also caused many to accidentally leave the safe zone and get eliminated by the “zone damage."

The absence of Valkyrie in the Three Strikes mode may influence the gameplay meta, potentially leading to shifts in team compositions and strategies. With Valkyrie's removal, players have already started to explore alternative Legends, such as Lifeline, to fulfill supportive roles and adapt to the evolving dynamics of the game mode. As Respawn Entertainment works to address the underlying issues, players can expect a smoother and more enjoyable experience in future iterations of the Three Strikes LTM, once this bug is fixed.

Respawn recently took to Twitter to announce they had disabled Valkyrie from the Three Strikes mode in Apex Legends due to an ongoing bug affecting her Ultimate ability. While Valkyrie remains playable in other modes like Mixtape and Ranked, her absence from Three Strikes has already caused chaos on Reddit and Twitter. Valkyrie's popularity as the most picked Legend in Apex Legends, standing at 9.9%, should have hinted that removing her would lead to players complaining instead of trying new team compositions in the LTM. Now that Valkyrie's absence has left a void, players may turn to Support Legends like Lifeline and Newcastle, who offer alternatives to reviving capabilities.

Players complained the most about Valkyrie being missing in the Three Strikes after the recent introduction of the Rumble beta during the Urban Assault Collection Event. This new asynchronous tournament system is played in the Three Strikes game mode, meaning players participating in the beta will need to adjust their team compositions accordingly and can’t boost their roster with Valkyrie’s skills. As the event spans two weeks starting on April 23, and with Three Strikes available until May 6, Respawn's team is under heavy pressure from the Apex Legends community to fix the Valkyrie bug. Once addressed, players can expect a return to the full roster of playable characters in the LTM, ensuring a more balanced and enjoyable gaming experience for everyone.
